An infrared detector is arranged so that a detection-input processing circuit part including an infrared sensor mounted on a circuit board is housed as isolated from ambient air in a chamber inhibiting any ambient air inflow, for sensing infrared rays emitted from a human body or the like object as condensed by a condenser irrespective of the ambient air conditions, the sensing ability of the infrared sensor the accuracy of which is likely to be easily deteriorated even with a very small change in the ambient temperature can be thereby stabilized, and a highly accurate infrared detection can be constantly achieved.

Infrared detector

A passive infrared detector including an optical collector releasably attached to a base with a sensor on which incident infrared radiation directed through the optical collector is focused. The sensor is held by a joint member which is pivotally supported on the base and to which said optical collector is releasably attached, whereby the optical collector is rotatable together with the joint member relative to the base for adjustment of its angular position and the optical collector can be alone replaced as necessary without having to replace the base, the sensor and its associated electric circuitry.

Passive infrared detector

An infrared-type intrusion detector for monitoring the presence of a person is disclosed. The detector has a plurality of concave reflector segments for defining separate fields of view. Infrared radiation emanating from the person in any of the fields of view is collected and focused upon a single sensing element to produce a cautionary signal representative of such detection. Plane mirrors are introduced in an optical reflection system of the detector to reflect the radiation from the reflector segments upon the sensing element, such as to reduce the spacing or dimension required for the optical system along the optical axis of the sensing element, whereby the detector is allowed to be made compact in size. Further, the optical system of the detector includes a device for selectively interrupting one or more paths between the respective reflector segments and the sensing element, such that the detector can receive the infrared radiation only from the selected or desired fields of view and ignore it from the undesired fields depending upon certain operating conditions, enhancing detection reliability.

Infrared-type intrusion detector

A moving object detecting apparatus of which a plurality of light receiving means arranged to have a common light receiving zone and a plurality of independent light receiving zones are disposed within a single casing together with a light emitting means. Receiving order in the respective light receiving means of reflected light from a moving object within the zones is detected to discriminate moving direction of the object and desired indications are performed responsive to the discriminated direction.

Moving object detecting apparatus

Means for mounting a member functioning with a directivity to a mounting station of an associated device or the like. A housing for the member with its functional end surface exposed to the exterior is tapered at the periphery toward the other end to be, for example, hemispherical and rotatably born at diametrally opposed positions adjacent the functional end surface by both ends of a semiarcuate bearing means, the mounting station has a hole including peripherally opposing grooves of a size and shape capable of slidably engaging with the tapered periphery of the housing and receiving semiarcuate body of the bearing means, the housing is inserted in the hole on said the other end side, and the semiarcuate body of the bearing means in the inserted position of the member engages slidably with a resilient means acting to resiliently urge the tapered periphery of the housing against peripheral edge of the hole. In this mounted state, the functional surface of the member is allowed to be manually freely inclined in all 360.degree. directions with respect to the plane of the mounting station to set the directivity and normally stably retained in set inclined position.

Variable directivity mounting means

A moving object detecting device employing a pair of Doppler signals as a pair of vector signals of respective received-wave signals representing momentary reflected waves from a moving object. These vector signals are processed to obtain signals denoting in which ones of predetermined zones for the vector rotation depending on the movements of the object the vector is momentarily present, and shifting states of such zone signals through the zones are traced to sequentially determine the direction and period of the vector rotation and to actuate an alarm or the like when the rotation is in a fixed direction.

Moving object detecting device

Ultrasonic type motion detector which highly reliably detects presence of moving object without being mis-operated by any other physical phenomena in detecting area. Respective frequency levels of transmitted and received wave signals are detected by a detecting section of a quadrature detecting circuit and phase difference detecting circuit, one of the level-detected signals is inverted and combined with the other, both signals are connected through an integrating circuit to a standard voltage source, and a pair of comparators are connected to the standard voltage source in parallel to each other so that an output signal indicative of the presence of object to be detected will be provided in either case when ouptut voltage of the standard voltage source becomes high or low.

Ultrasonic type motion detector

A switch employing such magneto-sensitive switching element as, for example, reed switch or the like and generally used for crime prevention purpose with a high reliability, wherein the switching element is initially set in either one of its ON and OFF states by a permanent magnet disposed adjacent the element and rotatably about its central axis perpendicular to its longitudinal axis and such initially set state of the element is turned to the other state to actuate an alarm device when another permanent magnet mounted, for example, to a door approaches the rotatable magnet and magnetically varies initial relationship of the rotatable magnet to the element.
