A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, an anode lead frame, a cathode lead frame, and an exterior member. The capacitor element includes an anode part and a cathode part. The cathode lead frame includes a cathode mount, a cathode connection part connected to the cathode mount, and a cathode terminal connected to the cathode connection part. The cathode lead frame bends in one direction at a first boundary between the cathode mount and the cathode connection part, and further bends in another direction at a second boundary between the cathode connection part and the cathode terminal. At least one of the cathode mount and the cathode terminal has a projection at an edge of the at least one of the cathode mount and the cathode terminal. The edge is at a side close to the cathode connection part. The projection projects in a first direction along which the anode part and the cathode part are aligned.

Electrolytic capacitor

A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element including an anode portion and a cathode portion, an anode terminal electrically connected to the anode portion. The anode portion includes an anode body and an anode lead extending from the anode body. The anode terminal includes a first main surface and a second main surface opposite to the first main surface. The anode terminal includes a middle section, a first extension section and a second extension section, the first extension section and the second extension section being respectively disposed at both sides of the middle section. The first extension section has a first end part and is bent so that a tip of the first end part faces the second main surface. The second extension section has a second end part and is bent so that a tip of the second end part faces the second main surface. The anode lead connects with the first main surface of the anode terminal at the first end part and at the second end part.

Solid electrolytic capacitor

A capacitor element includes a positive electrode body made of valve metal, a dielectric oxide layer on the positive electrode body, a solid electrolytic layer made of conductive polymer on the dielectric oxide layer, and a negative electrode layer on the solid electrolytic layer. A solid electrolytic capacitor includes the capacitor element, a package made of insulating resin covering the capacitor element, a base electrode provided at an edge surface of the package and made of non-valve metal coupled with the positive electrode body, a diffusion layer for connecting the positive electrode body to the base electrode, an external electrode on the base electrode, and an external electrode connected to the negative electrode layer. The solid electrolytic capacitor reduces the number of components and processes to reduce its cost and to have a small size, and has a small equivalent series resistance and a small equivalent series inductance.

The present invention aims to provide a chip-type solid electrolytic capacitor of large capacitance and low ESR. An element section of the capacitor is composed of an anode oxide film layer which functions as a dielectric, a solid electrolyte layer including conductive polymer and a cathode conductive body, which are stacked on a metallic electrode. A plurality of flat capacitor elements with the element section and an anode pulling-out section are stacked, and a laminated unit is produced where the cathode conductive layer and the anode pulling-out section of the flat capacitor elements are connected to a single metallic terminal member each. The solid electrolytic capacitor of the present invention has at least two laminated units placed parallel to each other, and connected to a transversely disposed comb terminal. The construction presented by the present invention achieves a solid electrolytic capacitor of a large capacitance and a low ESR without expanding its mounting surface area.
