[Means for solving problem] The resin composition of the present invention comprises 100 parts by mass of a specific ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated polyene copolymer (A) and 0.1 to 5 parts by mass of a peroxide (B), and the copolymer (A) comprises structural units derived from ethylene (a1), an &#x3b1;-olefin (a2) having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, and a non-conjugated polyene (a3) including intramolecularly two or more partial structures in total selected from the group consisting of structures represented by the following formulae (I) and (II),  [Effect] The resin composition of the present invention is excellent in crosslinking properties and the resin composition and its crosslinked shaped article of the present invention can be used, without any limitation, in various applications known as applications of rubber composition, and can be suitably used, for example, for interior and exterior parts for automobiles and applications requiring heat resistance.

A novel ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated polyene copolymer comprising structural units derived from ethylene (A), an &#x3b1;-olefin (B) of 3 to 20 carbon atoms, and a non-conjugated polyene (C) containing intramolecularly two or more partial structures in total selected from the group consisting of structures of Formulae (I) and (II), and having a small number of long-chain branches,  The novel ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated polyene copolymer contains a non-conjugated polyene such as VNB as a copolymerization component and a small long-chain branch content and is excellent in curing properties in the case of crosslinking using peroxide; and a process for producing the ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated polyene copolymer, and a use thereof are provided.

The present invention provides a vulcanized foamed rubber molded product which has surface smoothness equal to or higher than that of a non-foamed vulcanized rubber molded product, has excellent mechanical strength properties, compression set resistance and abrasion resistance and a non-foamed vulcanized rubber molded product which is superior in surface smoothness to a conventional non-foamed vulcanized rubber molded product and has excellent compression set resistance, mechanical strength properties and abrasion resistance, as well as a method of producing the same. The molded product of the present invention is characterized in that the amount of sulfur atoms present in the surface thereof is at least 1.2 times as high as the amount of sulfur atoms present in a cut face obtained by cutting the surface to a depth of 1.0 mm in the vertical direction. The method of producing comprises allowing droplets or spray of a liquid containing an elementary substance consisting of a non-oxygen element in the group VI in the periodic table to adhere to the surface of a non-vulcanized rubber composition containing an elemental sulfur and/or a sulfur compound as a crosslinking agent, and then vulcanizing or vulcanizing and foaming the composition.

The crosslinkable rubber composition of the invention is crosslinkable by hot air, and a hot-air crosslinked rubber sheet thereof has no scratch on the surface in a hardness test using a pencil of HB and has a compression set of not more than 70% after a heat treatment at 150&#xb0; C. for 22 hours. The rubber composition comprises an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin/non-conjugated polyene random copolymer rubber comprising a specific vinyl end group-containing norbornene compound, a SiH group-containing compound having at least two SiH groups in one molecule, and if necessary, an addition reaction catalyst comprising a platinum group element and a reaction inhibitor. The automobile weatherstrip, hose, rubber vibration insulator, belt, sealing material, expanded product, covered electric wire, electric wire joint, electric insulating part and household rubber product according to the invention comprise the above-mentioned rubber composition. The rubber composition has a high crosslinking rate and excellent productivity to produce crosslinked rubber molded products, is capable of undergoing hot-air crosslinking such as HAV or UHF and is capable of providing crosslinked rubber molded products having excellent compression set resistance, strength properties, heat resistance, weathering resistance and abrasion resistance.

The heat-resistant rubber composition of the invention is a vulcanizable composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a specific ethylene-&agr;-olefin-nonconjugated polyene copolymer rubber (A) composed of ethylene, an &agr;-olefin or 3 to 20 carbon atoms and a nonconjugated polyene which is a vinyl end group-containing norbornene compound, 0.2 to 5 parts by weight of an amine type anti-aging agent (C) and/or a hindered phenol type anti-aging agent (D), 1 to 10 parts by weight of a sulfur type anti-aging agent (E) and an organic peroxide (B). This heat-resistant rubber composition can provide a vulcanized rubber molded product showing not only excellent mechanical properties and electrical properties and but also prominently high thermal aging resistance.

A curable rubber composition comprises of a silicone rubber (A) and an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin-polyene amorphous copolymer (B) containing as the polyene component a norbornene compound having at least one kind of vinyl terminal group represented by 5-vinyl-2-norbornene or 5-methylene-2-norbornene. The rubber composition is speedily cured, if said components (A) and (B) are mixed by the A/B mixing ratio of 98/2-2/98 (% by weight) and kneaded in the presence of an organic peroxide. A vulcanizate rubber excelling in mechanical strength, water resistance and thermal aging resistance can be manufactured from said composition, since its crosslink density can be enhanced without impairing processing properties. Additionally, said composition entails reduced mold fouling phenomenon in the molding operation. Vulcanizate rubber thereby obtained can be advantageously used as industrial parts and electric parts.
