To provide a power supply circuit which can be applied worldwide without using a high withstand voltage switching element and can supply a load device with stable power. A charging section is arranged between a turn-off capacitor and a load coil. The charging section has the anode connected to the positive terminal of a feedback coil and the cathode connected to the cathode of a zener diode. Thus, when a voltage of a commercial power supply is high, the charging section operates, the turn-off capacitor is quickly charged, an on-period of a transistor is shortened, and an excessive voltage is prevented from being applied between the drain and the source of the transistor. At the same time, an output characteristic indicating relationship between the voltage of the commercial power supply and a current flowing in the load device is permitted to be flat.

Power supply circuit and power supply system

A battery-operated equipment comprises a battery; a constant voltage power source that derives a constant voltage from a battery voltage across the battery; and a microcomputer that incorporates an A/D converter(s) and has terminals for the A/D converter and a power input terminal. The microcomputer is connected with the battery via the power input terminal to use the battery voltage as its power source voltage. The converter is connected with the constant voltage power source via a specific terminal of the terminals for the converter to use the constant voltage as a voltage for the converter.

A power supply system is capable of feeding electric power from a power adapter to a plurality of load devices. The power adapter includes a primary core; and a primary coil wound around the primary core for serving as a output port of the power adapter to output an alternating current. The load devices include secondary cores for simultaneously forming magnetic circuits between the primary core and the load devices; and secondary coils wound around the secondary cores for feeding output power to the load devices. The primary core has two pairs of protrusions, and the secondary cores are arranged on opposite sides of the primary core in such a manner that the primary core lies between the secondary cores to feed electric power simultaneously to the load devices.

Power supply system

A driving unit of the present invention comprises a moving element, an elastic body configured to support the moving element, a permanent magnet fixed on said moving element, an electromagnet disposed to be opposed to said permanent magnet, and a controller. The moving element and the elastic body constitute a resonance system. The electromagnet includes a magnetic material and a coil wounded around the magnetic material. The controller magnetizes the magnetic material by feeding a current through the coil and gives a vibration force to the moving element by magnetic force acting between the magnetic material and the permanent magnet. The feature of the present invention resides in that the controller determines a current waveform necessary for an intended motion of the moving element, and applies a voltage to the coil intermittently so that a current in the form of the current waveform flows through said coil.

A non-contact transformer includes a transformer component provided on the floor of a housing, a printed circuit board on the transformer component, and an empty core space is formed within the transformer component wherein deformation of the housing is prevented through a construction that evacuates residual air from the core space when the core space is filled with resin even though both ends of the core space are covered by lid-like parts. A cylindrical end face at one extremity of the primary transformer component is positioned on the bottom plate of the primary housing opposed to the secondary housing, and the printed circuit board is provided on an opposite cylindrical end face which is at the other extremity of the primary transformer component. A passage is formed between the printed circuit board and the primary transformer component to provide a connecting orifice between a core space of primary transformer component and the space external to the primary transformer component.

A dry shaver is capable of being depressed equally at different positions but with differing contact pressures between outer and inner cutters. The shaver has a housing having a motor and inner and outer cutters at its upper end. The inner cutter is driven by the motor to move in shearing engagement with the outer cutter for shaving hairs. The inner cutter is urged upwardly by a bias spring to develop a contact pressure against the outer cutter. The outer cutter is carried by a cutter holder movably supported to a head frame mounted on top of the housing. The shaver has a height adjust mechanism for adjusting the height of the head frame relative to the housing between a high position and a low position while compressing the spring differently to vary the contact pressure, and for allowing the cutter holder to be depressed relative to the head frame from each of the height and low positions.

A sealing container assembly which is configured to hermetically contain a device therein includes a case, a lid member, a connecting member and a melting member. The case has an opening and is configured to contain the device therein. The lid member is configured to be connected to the case by welding to close the opening of the case. The connecting member is configured to connect the device contained inside the case to an outside of the case and configured to be sandwiched between the case and the lid member. The melting member has a melting point lower than those of the case and the lid member and is configured to be melted to seal gaps between the connecting member and the case and between the connecting member and the lid member when the lid member is connected to the case by welding.

A combination holder and battery charger for holding a battery operated electric appliance and also for recharging the battery in the electric appliance includes a housing having top and bottom surfaces opposite to each other. An auxiliary base stand is operatively disposed on the bottom surface of the housing and capable of assuming one of first and second states. This auxiliary base stand when in the first position has at least a portion thereof protruding laterally outwardly from a contour of the bottom surface of the housing, but that portion of the auxiliary base stand to enable the combination holder and battery charger to be supported stably on a support surface. The combination holder and battery charger may include a wall attachment for securement of the combination charger and holder to a wall surface.

A non-contact electric power transmission device comprising a feeding member which includes an induction coil to which electric power is applied and the non-contact electric power transmission device further comprising a plurality of fed members which each further comprise an induced coil placed within a magnetic field produced by the induction coil. The fed members differ in the load applied and each of the fed members is independently designed to accommodate its respective load as well as to accommodate a single feeding member. While the respective loads differ, only the design of the respective fed member is modified to accommodate the different load value while no modifications to the single feeding member are made.

Non-contact electric power transmission device

A transformer-isolated power transfer apparatus included in a power supply body and a device body that are removably coupled together. The power supply body contains a primary winding and a secondary winding for transmitting electrical power. The device body contains an induction winding and a load. When the power supply body and device body are coupled together, the secondary winding in the power supply body is electromagnetically inductively coupled to the induction winding provided in the device body to transfer power from the power supply body to the device body via electromagnetic inductive coupling. The apparatus further includes detection circuitry that detects when the power supply body and the device body are coupled together. The power supply body further contains an oscillation drive circuit that drives the primary winding in the power supply body in an intermittent oscillation mode of operation when the detection circuitry detects that the power supply body is not coupled to the device body, and that drives the primary winding in the power supply body in a continuous oscillation mode of operation when the detection circuitry detects that the power supply body is coupled to the device body. During the intermittent oscillation mode of operation, the oscillation on period is controllably varied in response to variations in an input voltage in a manner such as to maintain an average power transmitted from the power supply body to the device body at a substantially constant level. In this manner, the detection circuitry can reliably detect when the power supply body and the device body are coupled together despite variations in the input voltage.

A non-contact electric power transmission apparatus including a power supply unit and a load unit. The power supply unit has a first oscillation circuit, a signal secondary winding, a filter circuit, and a driving control circuit. The load unit has a power secondary winding, a signal primary winding, and a second oscillation circuit. The first oscillation circuit has a power primary winding and intermittently oscillates at a first oscillation frequency. When the load unit is placed at a predetermined position with respect to the power supply unit, since signals are induced in the power secondary winding by the signals in the power primary winding, the second oscillation circuit oscillates at a second oscillation frequency which is different from the first oscillation frequency. The signals from the second oscillation circuit are transmitted from the signal primary winding to the signal secondary winding. When the signals having the second oscillation frequency is input from the signal secondary winding to the driving control circuit through the filter circuit, the driving control circuit controls the first oscillation circuit to successively oscillates.

An electronic detector for locating an object behind a wall surface has a metallic object detecting section and a general object detecting section which are energized by a common battery to be operative simultaneously. The metallic object detecting section includes a magnetic field sensor for detecting any change in a magnetic field developed therearound and providing a second electric signal indicative of that change. The general object detecting section includes a capacitor sensor for sensing any change in the capacitance of the wall and providing a first electric signal indicative of that change. The first and second electric signals are applied respectively to first and second control circuits where they are analyzed to provide first and second control outputs when their levels reach first and second reference levels, respectively. Upon receiving the first and second control output, first and second indicators turn on for indicating the detection results. Thus, both of the first and second indicators will turn on when there is detected a metallic object behind the wall surface and only the first indicator will turn on when there is deteced a non-metallic object behind the wall surface, whereby the user can easily distinguish the metallic object and the non-metallic object detected.
