A view angle control device includes light transmission layers that are arranged at intervals and through which light passes, electrochromic layers having light absorption spectrum characteristics according to voltages applied thereto, the electrochromic layers and the light transmission layers being arranged alternately, first electrodes disposed on one side with respect to the electrochromic layers and arranged to be overlapped with the respective electrochromic layers and contacted with the respective electrochromic layers, and a second electrode disposed on an opposite side from the first electrodes with respect to the electrochromic layers and arranged to be overlapped with and contacted with the electrochromic layers.

The curved display device includes a liquid crystal panel in a normally black mode. A touch panel is realized that is able to decrease the amount of dead space at the periphery of the touch panel and that has highly accurate touch panel sensitivity. In a touch panel, Y direction conductive patterns are arranged so as to be separated from wiring patterns in Y direction conductive pattern regions between electrode units of X direction conductive patterns. As a result, in this conductive sheet, it is possible to appropriately prevent the occurrence of parasitic capacitance resulting from the Y direction conductive patterns and the wiring patterns. Therefore, in a touch panel device or the like that uses such a touch panel, it is possible to effectively prevent the generation of noise that overlaps sense signals as a result of the above-mentioned parasitic capacitance, thereby making it possible to realize highly accurate touch panel sensitivity.

A touch panel (a position input device) includes a trace group including traces arranged at intervals, and an electrode portion including a driving electrode and a detection electrode. The traces, the driving electrode, and the detection electrode are made of a light transmissive conductive film. The driving electrode and the detection electrode are arranged adjacent to the trace group and include a slit extending along the traces.

The light blocking line is arranged in the display non-overlapping area and made of light shielding metal material. The light blocking line partially has a light-transmission cutout that is configured to allow the light to pass therethrough.
