A driver device has a semiconductor module in which a motor terminal extends from a molded body and is connected to a motor wire. A heat sink of the driver device has a module mounting surface, which extends axially outward from an axial end of the motor section, on which the semiconductor module is fastened. The motor terminal includes a base region on a molded body side of a bend location and an extension region on a tip side of the bend location. The extension region has a connection portion on which an insertion hole receives the motor wire. A terminal angle between the extension region and a perpendicular line perpendicular to the motor wire is greater than zero degree. As such, the volume of the driver device is reduced.

Drive device with heat sink and angled motor terminal

A semiconductor module includes a switching element, a molded body, and a motor terminal. The molded body having the switching element disposed therein. The motor terminal has a base portion and a connection portion having an insertion hole into which a motor wire is inserted and connected with the winding wire. The connection portion has a cutaway region that defines a slot. The winding wire of the motor and the semiconductor module are connected via the motor wire and the motor terminal, thereby reducing the number of components used for such connection compared with a connection that uses a connector, and achieving a volume reduction of the semiconductor module and a driver device using the same.

Semiconductor module and driver device

A rotating electrical machine control device includes a target current value calculation section, a PWM signal generation section, a voltage application section, and a control section. The target current value calculation section calculates target current values of electric currents supplied to windings of a rotating electrical machine. The PWM signal generation section generates PWM signals for the respective windings based on the target current values. The voltage application section applies voltages to the respective windings based on the PWM signals. When the control section stops driving of the rotating electrical machine, the PWM signal generation section generates the PWM signals in which a timing of a pulse change in the PWM signal of at least one phase is different from timings of pulse changes in the PWM signals of the other phases.

Rotating electrical machine control device and steering control system

A motor control device has a three-phase bridge circuit, a driving circuit, and a microcomputer. The three-phase bridge circuit has three pairs of MOSFETs for U, V, and W phases of a three-phase AC motor as a control target. The microcomputer has a dead time set value storage unit and a PWM signal generation unit. The PWM signal generation unit generates a PWM signal with a dead time including a response characteristics of the pair of MOSFETs for each of U, V, and W phases of the AC motor based on a three-phase voltage instruction value supplied from an outside device and the dead time set value stored in the dead time set value storage unit. The PWM signal generation unit outputs the PWM signal for each phase to the driving circuit. This independently adjusts the dead time for the MOSFETs for each phase.

Motor control device

A motor controller including an inverter including plural switching elements that are subjected to PWM control to generate sine waves of plural phases, a motor including a stator coil supplied with the sine waves thus generated so that rotational magnetic field is generated in the stator coil, and a rotor that is rotationally driven by the action of the rotational magnetic field generated by the stator coil, a storage unit for detecting the sine waves of the respective phases generated in the inverter and storing a correction amount for each phase that is calculated on the basis of the detection result so that the sine waves of the respective phases are coincident with one another and a correcting unit for correcting a PWM signal for carrying out the PWM control on the switching elements on the basis of the correction amount thus calculated.

Motor controller and steering device

A control unit for a brushless motor has an upper-arm current detector for detecting an electric current flowing into an upper-arm switching transistor for driving the brushless motor, and a lower-arm current detector for detecting an electric current flowing into a lower-arm switching transistor. The control unit controls the current that flows into the brushless motor based on the upper-arm current value when it is so determined that the lower-arm current value cannot be detected. The control unit detects abnormal condition in the first current detector based on the upper-arm current value.
