An electronic device has a substrate and first and second metallization levels with a resonant circuit. The first metallization level has a first dielectric layer on a side of the substrate, and a first metal layer on the first dielectric layer. The second metallization level has a second dielectric layer on the first dielectric layer and the first metal layer, and a second metal layer on the second dielectric layer. The electronic device includes a first plate in the first metal layer, and a second plate spaced apart from the first plate in the second metal layer to form a capacitor. The electronic device includes a winding in one of the first or second metal layers and coupled to one of the first or second plates in a resonant circuit.

In at least some embodiments, a system comprises a frequency generator configured to generate a second clock signal having a second frequency using a first clock signal having a first frequency. The system also includes a power converter configured to produce a power signal that at least partially corresponds to the second frequency. A method of processing an output signal and a readout circuit for a magnetic field sensor are disclosed. The purpose of the readout circuit is to generate a digital representation of the magnetic field vector strength. It comprises an input stage for receiving an output signal of the magnetic field sensor; an output stage for outputting a digital output signal corresponding to the sensor output signal; and an analog to digital conversion circuit. The analog to digital conversion circuit receives the sensor output signal and performs, in sequence, a fast conversion process for calculating a number of most significant bits of the digital output signal corresponding to the sensor output signal and for generating a compensation signal, and a delta sigma based conversion process for calculating at least one least significant bit of the digital output signal. The compensation signal is fed back to the sensor input for linearization. The delta sigma based conversion takes advantage of oversampling and noise shaping to increase resolution.

Magnetic field sensor linearization architecture and method

This invention generally relates to the technical field of integrated circuits. More specifically the invention relates to output stages for providing an output signal, into which an integrated circuit may be used. An aspect relates to an integrated circuit capable of driving an external class-B output stage in a manner that allows providing a continuous output signal over the full range of desired outputs. The integrated circuit may comprise a class-AB output stage working in conjunction with the class-B output stage so as to provide a hybrid output stage. The integrated circuit may prevent dead band problems commonly faced when employing a class-B output stage. The integrated circuit may also reduce the quiescent current of the hybrid output stage. This may have further advantages, such as for example, the output stage producing less heat/power than needs to be dissipated.

Improved current sensing methods and apparatus and conductor apparatus are presented for sensing current in a bus bar or other conductor using one or more circular magnetic sensors or multiple magnetic sensors disposed on a substrate in a pattern surrounding a longitudinal path within the outer periphery of the conductor to avoid or mitigate sensed magnetic field crosstalk and to facilitate use of high sensitivity magnetic sensors at locations inside the conductor periphery in which the magnetic field is relatively small.
