This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to using redundant frames for time-sensitive networking (TSN). A device may identify an Ethernet frame including a redundancy tag and an Internet Protocol (IP) packet; generate, based on the Ethernet frame, a first Wi-Fi frame including the redundancy tag and a sub-network access protocol (SNAP) header after an 802.11 medium access control (MAC) header and prior to the redundancy tag, the first Wi-Fi frame further including a first encapsulation of the IP packet; generate, based on the Ethernet frame, a second Wi-Fi frame including the redundancy tag and the SNAP header after the 802.11 MAC header and prior to the redundancy tag, the second Wi-Fi frame further including a second encapsulation of the IP packet; transmit the first Wi-Fi frame using a first Wi-Fi communication link; and transmit the second Wi-Fi frame using a second Wi-Fi communication link.

Enhanced redundancy over Wi-Fi for ultra-reliable wireless time-sensitive networking

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to wireless time sensitive networking. A device may identify, using an 802.3 protocol stack, an 802.3 frame received from a second device using a wired Ethernet connection, and extract, using the 802.3 protocol stack, a redundancy tag from the 802.3 frame, the redundancy tag including a sequence number. The device may generate, using an 802.11 protocol stack, an 802.11 frame with a subnetwork access protocol (SNAP) field, the SNAP field including an organizationally unique identifier (OUI) and the sequence number, the OUI including an indication of an Ethertype protocol. The device may send the 802.11 frame using a wireless connection.

Frame replication and interfaces for time sensitive networking

Systems and methods in which devices synchronize their clocks for purposes of data transmission are described. Particularly, the disclosed systems and methods provide detection and mitigation of interference by malicious (or non-malicious) wireless devices with communication of time synchronized data over wireless networks. Systems and methods are provided where times statistics related to multiple instances of wireless time synchronization are collected and collated. Devices in the system can discipline their internal clocks based on the collated time statistics.

An apparatus of a wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), can include processing circuitry configured to perform one or more of the handover-related techniques disclosed herein. For example, when associated with moving with a plurality of mobile devices from coverage of a first cell to a second cell, the processing circuitry can detect the second cell. One or more parameters of the second cell can be measured. The one or more parameters can be communicated to one or more other mobile devices of the plurality of mobile devices.

Handover-related technology, apparatuses, and methods

Systems and techniques for locating a radio transmission source by scene reconstruction are described herein. A multipath radio signal&#x2014;comprised of two or more multipath components&#x2014;may be received at an antenna array. A collection of angle-of-arrival (AoA) values may be created from the multipath components. Thus, each AoA in the collection corresponds to one of the multipath components. An optical image of the environment may be obtained and possible reflective surfaces for the multipath components identified in the optical image. A set of paths may be created in a model of the environment by backtracking from the antenna array along the AoAs in the collection of AoA values. Here, the backtracking simulates reflections of the ray off of the surfaces identified in the optical image. A transmitter of the multipath radio signal may then be located via the set of paths.
