The present invention is directed to matrix compounds and an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) comprising an emission layer and an electron transport layer stack of at least two electron transport layers, wherein a first electron transport layer and a second electron transport layer comprises at least one matrix compound, wherein the matrix compound or compounds of the first electron transport layer is/are different to the matrix compound or compounds of the second electron transport layer; and in addition, the first electron transport layer comprises a dopant of a lithium halide and/or lithium organic complex; and the second electron transport layer is free of a dopant; wherein at least one matrix compound of the second electron transport layer having the chemical formula Ia, Ib and/or Ic: (Ia) (Ib) (Ic) wherein Ar=substituted or unsubstituted arylene with 6 to 20 ring-forming carbon atoms; or carbazolylene; ET=substituted or unsubstituted aryl group with 13 to 40 ring-forming carbon atoms; or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group with 14 to 40 ring-forming atoms. 

Organic light-emitting diode comprising different matrix compounds in the first and second electron transport layer

The present invention relates to organic electronic devices. The devices can include a first electrode, a second electrode, and a substantially organic layer. The substantially organic layer may include a lithium-containing compound, and may be arranged between the first and the second electrode. Also provided herein are organic light emitting diodes, organic solar cells, and organic field effect transistors that include the lithium-containing compound.

The present invention relates to phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) including a hole-transporting or a hole-transporting and an electron-blocking layer including an N,N,N',N&#x2032;-tetraaryl-phenylene-3,5-diamine or an N,N,N&#x2032;,N&#x2032;-tetraaryl-1,1&#x2032;-biphenyl-3,3&#x2032;-diamine matrix compound and to new N,N,N&#x2032;,N&#x2032;-tetraarylsubstituted m-arylene diamine compounds useful as hole-transporting and electron-blocking layer matrices in phosphorescent OLEDs.

The disclosure refers to a semiconducting material comprising a phosphorous-containing compound and at least one lithium complex. Also provided are electronic devices comprising a cathode, an anode, and the semiconducting material comprising a phosphorous-containing compound arranged between the cathode and the anode.
