Disclosed are proteinaceous compositions comprising collagen and an effective amount of a compatible cytotoxic drug which compositions are characterized by having a single collagen transition temperature of less than about 45.degree. C. Such compositions possess enhanced retention of the cytotoxic drug at the site of injection and are optically translucent.

Disclosed are translucent proteinaceous compositions comprising collagen and an effective amount of a compatible cytotoxic drug which compositions are characterized by having a single collagen transition temperature of less than about 45.degree. C. Such compositions possess enhanced retention of the cytotoxic drug at the site of injection and are optically translucent.
