A method for testing a measuring device is used to determine a permittivity of a frying fat which permittivity is inter alia dependent on the temperature, while taking into consideration the temperature. The method is characterized in that the permittivity is measured at least two different temperatures and the temperature dependence is determined and is used to make a statement on the ability to function of the measuring device.

The invention relates to a joint which can be subjected to the temperature influences of an external medium () and joins an especially ceramic component () to an especially metallic component (). Said joint consists of a first adhesive joint () between the metallic component and the ceramic component, and a second adhesive joint (), the adhesive () of the second joint having a higher elasticity than that () of the first adhesive joint (), and the second joint being arranged in such a way that it prevents direct contact between the first adhesive joint () and an external medium (). A measuring device is used to measure the state of oils of fats. Said measuring device comprises a housing, a hollow connecting element which is secured therein and a carrier which is applied to the opposite end of the connecting element, said carrier being used to receive a sensor which can be used to measure an electric property of the product which is to be measured. The sensor is in contact with an evaluation unit by means of at least one electric line which is arranged on a non-conductive carrier, which is arranged in the region of the housing and/or the end of the connecting element which is oriented towards the housing. The measuring device comprises a plurality of carriers which are arranged in a row and which are thermally insulated from each other.

Measuring device for measuring the state of oils or fats

A measuring device is used to measure the state of a liquid product which is to be measured, in particular oil or fat. Said measuring device comprises a housing, a hollow connecting element which is secured therein and a carrier which is applied to the opposite end of the connecting element, said carrier being used to receive a sensor which can be used to measure the electric property of a product which is to be measured. The sensor is in contact with the measuring unit by means of at least one electric line, which is arranged in the region of the housing and/or with the end of the connecting element oriented towards the housing. The measuring device comprises means which can be used to minimize the falsifying effect of the water content in the product, which is to be measured, on the measuring result.

The aim of the invention is to provide a simple and reliable method of measuring the quality of a fluid (), in particular an oil or fat. This is achieved by a dielectric measurement in conjunction with a temperature measurement, which are carried out in situ by means of a measuring assembly and a sensor assembly () used with the latter, whereby the sensor assembly is submerged in the fluid. This permits information concerning the condition of the fluid, in particular concerning the age of the frying oil or fat, to be obtained in a rapid, low-cost manner.
