Skateboard trucks and skateboards using the improved trucks are disclosed. Truck according to the present invention can comprising a hanger with wheels. A base assembly is included having an at least partially hollow housing section. The hanger is rotationally mounted to the base assembly. The hanger also comprises a hanger portion that is within partially hollow housing section. Compressible spring elements are included within the partially hollow housing section, wherein the hanger portion operates on the compressible spring elements when the hanger rotates in relation to the base assembly. Skateboards are also disclosed that utilize the truck. One or more trucks are mounted to the skateboard deck with the truck having internal compressible spring elements that are compressed when turning the skateboard. The internal compressible spring elements also expand to return the truck to a neutral position when the skateboard is not turning.

Skateboard and skateboard trucks

A hermetically sealed, high voltage manual disconnect that can be manually operated from outside the disconnect to transition between connect and disconnect states. The disconnect comprises a hermetically sealed housing having internal components for changing the state of the disconnect. A gas can fill the housing to allow for reliable high voltage operation. Different embodiments of the manual disconnect can include electrical and electronic components so that the state of the disconnect can be changed in response to an electrical signal.

Hermetically sealed manual disconnect

A low cost, sealed contactor comprises a hermetically sealed housing with a flat header having internal components for changing the state of said contactor. Terminals are electrically connected to the internal components for connection to internal circuitry and applying an electrical signal to control the state of the contactor. A solenoid-driven plunger with a hollow shaft is included. Power-reducing electronics located within the hermetically sealed housing are also included. Two contact springs are also included to improve electrical performance. O-rings are added to help seal the contactor and keep it hermetically sealed.

Sealed contactor

A high voltage relay comprises a hermitically sealed housing made of ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) and having internal components for changing the state of said relay. Terminals are electrically connected to the internal components for connection to external circuitry and applying an electrical signal to control the state of the relay. A nitrogen and sulfur hexafluoride gas fills the housing to allow for reliable high voltage operation with the housing having low permeability to the molecules of the gas.
