The method comprises associating a primary identity to a first communication channel identity and to a second communication channel identity by an identity unifying application executing on a computer system, tracking a first plurality of events associated to the first communication channel identity by a content segmentation application executing on a computer system, tracking a second plurality of events associated to the second communication channel identity by the content segmentation application, analyzing the first plurality of events and the second plurality of events by the content segmentation application, based on analyzing the events and based on a first content segment associated with the primary identity, associating the primary identity to a second content segment by the content segmentation application.

Cross-channel unification of user identity

Systems, methods, and computer readable media for identifying irregular electronic commerce transactions are provided. A server is configured to receive a request for a risk level associated with electronic commerce transactions. The sever accesses a communications account associated with a user who initiated the electronic commerce transaction. The user may initiate the electronic commerce transaction on a wireless device. The server accesses the communication patterns, payment patterns, and voice patterns of the communications account for the wireless device. If changes in the communication, payment, or voice patterns of wireless device are detected, the server assigns a high or medium risk level to the electronic commerce transaction. If the server is unable to identify the pattern change, the assigned risk level of the electronic commerce transaction is low. The assigned risk levels are received by a transaction processor and may influence a rate charged for processing the electronic commerce transaction.

Assigning risk levels to electronic commerce transactions

A method and computer-readable medium for establishing a push-to-talk social group are provided. According to the method, group setup information is received from a member of the push-to-talk social group, and a data transmission, including an internet address of an internet application that manages push-to-talk social groups, is sent to each member of the push-to-talk social group. Push-to-talk calling may be monitored in a push-to-talk gateway application, based upon the group setup information. When a push-to-talk call is detected in which a first member of the push-to-talk social group is active, other members of the push-to-talk social group are informed that the first member is active on the detected push-to-talk call. Other members of the group may then initiate a push-to-talk call with the first member.

Methods and computer-readable mediums for processing push-to-talk voice messages are provided. According to one method, a first mobile station receives a push-to-talk voice message from a second mobile station, determines that a data object is attached to the push-to-talk voice message, determines a type of the data object, and stores the data object in a PTT attachment queue of the first mobile station, based upon the determined type of the data object, which may be a picture, video data, audio data, e-mail, document, contact, or the like.

Systems and methods are provided for enabling a first end point associated with a first network to communicate with a second end point associated with a second network. In one embodiment, a request to initiate communication from the second end point is received at a short-range wireless device associated with the first end point. The first end point communicates with the second end point through the short-range wireless device to receive a message from the second end point at the short-range wireless device. The message is translated at the short-range wireless device for the first end point.

A method and computer-readable medium for posting push-to-talk voice messages on a social networking web page of a user are provided. According to the method, a messaging platform receives a push-to-talk voice message that is addressed to a social networking message service from a mobile station of the user. The messaging platform determines whether an association exists between the mobile station and the social networking web page. When the association exists, the push-to-talk voice message is posted on the social networking web page of the user. The user can listen to the PTT voice messages on his or her social networking web page via the internet.

A method and system for acoustically triggering wireless network communication and reporting. A portable device monitors external audio waveforms comprising broadcast media, to detect at least one predefined acoustic frequency embedded in the waveforms. In response to the detection, the portable device takes an action with respect to a wireless network, preferably relating to the at least one detected acoustic frequency. The invention can be used advantageously to monitor broadcast media consumption.

Method and system for acoustically triggering electronic coupon retrieval

A method and system provides for tracking access to media content in a portable device and correlating the access with a location of the portable device. In one embodiment, a portable device can wirelessly receive media content during a media access session. The portable device can collect media access information, such as information on the media access session, information on the media content received, and a location of the portable device during the media access session. The portable device can then transmit the media access information through a wireless cellular telecommunications system to a network server.
