An imaging system is described having at least three cameras and a processing unit. The at least three cameras have a common field of view and camera centres positioned along a line. The at least three cameras are configured to image a calibration object to generate a set of calibration object images, wherein the calibration object is located nearby the at least three cameras and in the common field of view. The at least three cameras are further configured to image a scene comprising a set of distant scene position points to generate a set of position point images. The processing unit is configured to generate a set of calibration parameters in dependence on the set of calibration object images and the set of position point images.

Imaging system and a method of calibrating an image system

A method for estimating a sub-pixel position of an extreme point in an image uses a parametric function. The parametric function is fitted locally to a group of neighboring pixels in the image, and a spatial position of an extreme point of the parametric function is identified. If the extreme point of the parametric function is of a different type than the extreme point in the image, or the position of the extreme point of the parametric function is located outside an area defined by the pixel positions in the group of neighboring pixels, a pixel is removed from the group of neighboring pixels and the fitting of the parametric function is repeated. In the end, the sub-pixel position is estimated as the position of the extreme point of the parametric function. A level of uncertainty of the estimated sub-pixel position is estimated as the number of repetitions needed before arriving at the estimate of the sub-pixel position.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include systems and methods for image processing for enhancing, e.g., photos, videos, and graphics representations. Particularly, some embodiments perform a histogram-based SMQT decomposition of various attributes in an original image. The SMQT decomposition of these attributes may then be used to create a look-up-table indicating how to modify pixel attributes in the same or a subsequent image so as to enhance the same or subsequent image. The results of the SMQT decomposition for each attribute may be interpolated based, e.g., on user preferences, to achieve a more optimal enhancement.

The present invention discloses a system and method for providing privacy to a client accessing a chat application on a chat server via the Internet wherein a request is transmitted for a chat application from a client to a first proxy server. The request is forwarded from the first proxy server to a second proxy server. In response to the receipt of the request at the second proxy server, a unique ID is forwarded back to the first proxy server and the request along with the unique ID are forwarded on to the chat server. A response to the request is transmitted from the chat server back to the second proxy server along with the originally provided unique ID. The response and unique ID are stored within the second proxy server and may be accessed form the first proxy server by providing the unique ID.

A system and method for contacting the origin server from a user comprises the steps of generating a minimal user profile for the user that is stored at a node associated with the user, said minimal user profile containing user designated CPI. A connection is established from the node to an origin server using the minimal user profile, and a determination is made if the privacy profile of the origin server meets the privacy preferences of the user. If so, a second user profile containing a more detailed CPI is provided to the origin server.
