There is provided a radio transceiver device. The radio transceiver device comprises an antenna. The radio transceiver device further comprises a signal processing module. The radio transceiver device further comprises a receiver chain configured to receive a first signal. The receiver chain extends from the antenna to the signal processing module and at least comprises an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and is thereby configured to receive a first signal from the antenna and provide the first signal to the signal processing module after application of analog-to-digital conversion in the ADC to the first signal. The radio transceiver device further comprises a transmitter chain. The transmitter chain extends from the signal processing module to the antenna and at least comprises a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and is thereby configured to receive a second signal from the signal processing module and provide the second signal to the antenna after application of digital-to-analog conversion in the DAC. The DAC is configured to generate a dither signal and is connected to the receiver chain for application of the dither signal to the first signal before application of analog-to-digital conversion in the ADC to the first signal.

Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

The present disclosure relates to a node (AP, U) in a wireless communication system (), where the node (AP, U) is adapted to communicate with at least two other nodes (AP, AP) in the wireless communication system (), and where the other nodes (AP, AP) are first type nodes (AP, AP) which are adapted to communicate with each other by means of backhaul communication. The node (AP, U) is adapted to receive a signal (xA) transmitted from an adjacent first type node (AP), where the (xA) has been forwarded from at least one farther first type node (AP). In case of unsuccessful decoding of the signal (xA), the node (AP, U) is adapted to request re-transmission (NACK) of the signal (xA), and to receive a re-transmission of the signal (xA) directly from a farther first type node (AP).

Handling of re-transmissions in a wireless communication network

Methods and nodes in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. A method in a node in an IAB network for selecting a preferred route from a plurality of candidate routes for sending data from a first node to a second node in the IAB network is provided. Each candidate route includes at least one intermediate node between the first node and the second node. The method includes, for each candidate route, determining a predicted transmission delay associated with sending the data along the respective candidate route based on channel measurements between nodes along the respective candidate route and an error probability constraint, wherein the transmission delay is predicted for a transmission of the data that satisfies the error probability constraint in view of the channel measurements. The method further selecting a route from the plurality of candidate routes for sending the data based on the predicted transmission delays.

Multiroute integrated access and backhaul networks

The present disclosure relates to a first type node (AP1) in a wireless communication system, wherein the first type node (AP1) is adapted to: communicate with at least one neighboring first type node (APO, AP2) via a corresponding backhaul channel (H10, H21); receive communication from at least one overheard second type node (U3k) via a corresponding overheard access channel (h3k_1), the overheard second type node (U3k) being adapted to normally communicate with a serving first type node (AP3); instruct at least one overheard second type node (U3k) to pause transmission to the serving first type node (AP3) at time instants (T+2) when the first type node (AP1) is going to receive a certain signal (x3k(T)) from the neighboring first type node (AP2), where the certain signal (x3k(T)) is intended to be received by the first type node (AP1) without interference from said overheard second type node (U3k).

Relaying in a wireless communication network

The present disclosure relates to a first type node (AP) in a wireless communication system (), wherein the first type node (AP) is adapted to: —communicate with at least one other first type node (AP) in the wireless communication system () over a corresponding backhaul channel (H) by means of one of at least one type of signal relaying that employs decoding and encoding, and —communicate with a corresponding group of second type nodes (U, U) via a corresponding access channel (h, h), each group of second type nodes (U, U) comprising at least one second type node (U, U). In the case of a backhaul channel (H') between the first type node (AP) and one other first type node (AP) being determined to be blocked to a certain degree, the first type node (AP) is further adapted to instruct at least one second type node (U) of the second type nodes in the group of second type nodes (U, U) that is comprised in an over-heard sub-group, to communicate directly with an overhearing first type node (AP) via a corresponding access channel (h).

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.

There is provided mechanisms for handling a deteriorating AP-to-AP wireless link in an IAB network. A method is performed by a first AP in the IAB network. The method comprises identifying signal deterioration of a first AP-to-AP wireless link between the first AP and a second AP in the IAB network. The first AP-to-AP wireless link is used for backhauling data for CPEs served by the second AP and for backhauling data for CPEs served by a third AP in the IAB network. The second AP has a second AP-to-AP wireless link to the third AP for backhauling data for the CPEs served by the third AP. The method comprises, in response thereto, relaying the data via a first CPE of the CPEs served by the second AP on a first direct wireless link between the first AP and the first CPE.

Handling of deteriorating AP-to-AP wireless link

The present disclosure relates to a serving wireless communication node adapted to predict data files (A, B, C) to be requested by at least two served user terminals () and to form predicted sub-data files (A, A; B, B; C, C). In a placement phase, the serving node is adapted to transmit predicted sub-data files (A, B; A, B) to cache nodes (AP, AP), each cache node (AP, AP) having a unique set of predicted different sub-data files of different predicted data files, and to receive requests (RA, RB) for data files from the served user terminals (). If a cache node (AP, AP) requests re-transmission (RA; RB) of a predicted sub-data file (A, B), the serving node (AP) is adapted to transmit a further complementary predicted sub-datafile (Formula II) to the cache nodes (AP, AP), the file comprising a reversible combination of at least one re-transmitted predicted sub-data file (A, B) and at least one new predicted sub-data file (C).

Coded-caching in a wireless communication network

Using information contained in clipped samples from analog-to-digital (ADC) conversion to improve receiver performance, by, for example, reducing the clipping distortion caused by ADCs due to its data resolution constraints. This provides an advantage over existing solutions, which perform suboptimally because the existing solution discard information in tire clipped samples.

Disclosed is a method of a first wireless communication device configured for massive multi-user multiple-input multiple output (MU-MEMO) communication with two or more second wireless communication devices. The first wireless communication device comprises a plurality of antenna ports, each antenna port associated with at least one of a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The method comprises acquiring an estimation of a communication channel between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication devices and acquiring an estimation of a quantization distortion caused by either DACs or ADCs. The method also comprises jointly determining (for the two or more second wireless communication devices) a transmission power and a transmission resource for each of the second wireless communication devices, wherein the joint determination is based on the estimation of the communication channel and on the estimation of the quantization distortion.
