An apparatus and method for modifying a priority of a public safety user in a wireless network is provided. The wireless network comprises a database for storing the priority related to users. The method may include receiving a message from a customer, at a broker server, where the message informs the broker server about priority requirements of the public safety user. The method may then include sending, by the broker server, a request to the wireless network to modify the priority of the public safety user in a database in the wireless network.

Managing wireless transmission capacity

A method of using a central computer that is communicatively connectable to a first control computer and configured to dynamically allocate and transmit unique codes from a server to a first printing machine, having a first rate of printing. The method includes the steps of: receiving a first request for a first patch of unique codes from the first control computer of a first printing machine, wherein the first control computer is communicatively connected to the first printing machine and wherein the first control computer controls the first printing machine for printing the unique codes in package labels; obtaining printing parameters comprising a file size of a unique code and a printing speed of the first printing machine; determining a first time interval between the first request to the server and the unique code being available to be used by the first printing machine; determining a first communication speed between the server and the first printing machine; dynamically calculating a first optimum patch size of the first patch of unique codes to be delivered to the first printing machine based on the first request from the first control computer of the first printing machine, the printing parameters, the first time interval and the first communication speed; and communicating a first patch of unique codes having a patch size equal to the first optimum patch size to the first control computer of the first printing machine.

Method for dynamically allocating and transmitting unique codes to a printing machine

An apparatus and method for managing wireless transmission capacity, comprising receiving by a server an indication about available wireless transmission capacity from a wireless transmission capacity provider, receiving by the server from a client an indication about wireless transmission capacity need concerning a user, reserving wireless transmission capacity for the user by the server based on the available wireless transmission capacity and wireless transmission need, and requesting the wireless transmission capacity provider to allocate the reserved wireless transmission capacity for the user.

Various communication systems may benefit from appropriate estimation of communication parameters. For example, wireless communication systems, such as those associated with the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), Long Term Evolution (LTE), LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), and the like, may benefit from a maximum cell throughput estimation. A method can include obtaining measurements of a plurality of signal parameters from a plurality of users in an area. The method can also include determining maximum bitrates for each of the users from the signal parameters. The method can further include comparing the maximum bitrates to theoretical bitrates to obtain a ratio. The method can additionally include providing a momentary maximum throughput by scaling a theoretical maximum throughput using the ratio.
