A plurality of concave portion to be spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction through a pillar portion is formed in an inner circumferential side of a side surface of a seal ring mounted in a shaft groove formed in an outer circumferential surface of a shaft. The concave portion including a deepest portion, and two inclined portions, connects the inclined portion positioned at an opposite side in a rotational direction and the adjacent pillar portion with a curved surface having a shape convex, and further, makes a width in the circumferential direction of the inclined portion of the rotational direction side smaller than a width in the circumferential direction of the inclined portion of the opposite side in the rotational direction.

Seal ring

Provided is a seal ring that has low-leakage characteristics and low-friction characteristics and can improve the drive loss of the automatic transmission of an automobile to thereby contribute to an improvement in the fuel consumption of the automobile. The seal ring is attached to a shaft groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of a shaft. A plurality of peripherally spaced recessed sections are formed on at least the inner peripheral side of a contact side-surface. Inner walls are provided on the inner peripheral side of the recessed sections, and oil introduction openings that open on an inner peripheral surface are provided on the inner peripheral side of the recessed sections. The inner walls may be provided on opposite peripheral sides of the recessed sections but may be provided only on the rear side in the rotation direction.

Provided is a seal ring which has low-friction characteristics and low-leakage characteristics, reduces drive loss of the automatic transmission of an automobile, and contributes to improvement in fuel consumption of the automobile. The seal ring is attached to a shaft groove on the outer peripheral surface of a shaft. A plurality of recessed sections circumferentially spaced apart from each other with pillar sections interposed therebetween are formed at least on the inner peripheral side of a side surface of the seal ring in contact with the shaft groove. The circumferential opposite ends of each of the recessed sections are formed as squeezing portions formed of curved surfaces convex toward the pillar sections. The depth 'h' of a deepest portion in which the axial width of the recessed section is the largest is set in the range of 2 to 17 where the axial width of the seal ring is 100.

[Problem] To provide a resin composition having excellent sliding properties and mechanical properties and a sliding member that uses the same. [Solution] According to a resin composition of a fluorine-based resin dispersed in a hard resin, the maximum particle size of the fluorine-based resin is adjusted to be no greater than 950 nm and the mean particle size is adjusted to 100 nm to 450 nm. The hard resin is preferably at least one type selected from among polyether ether ketone, polyphenylene sulfide, polybutylene terephthalate, polyamides, polyamideimides, vinylidene fluoride and liquid crystal polymers. Polytetrafluoroethylene is preferred as the fluorine-based resin.

Resin composition and sliding member using same

A first sliding member of the present invention is made of a composition comprising 10-50% by weight of carbon fibers and 2-30% by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer, the balance being substantially a polyphenylene sulfide resin, at least in a sliding surface portion. A second sliding member of the present invention is made of a composition comprising 10-50% by weight of glass fibers and 2-30% by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer, the balance being substantially a polyphenylene sulfide resin, at least in a sliding surface portion.

An exhaust gas cleaner for removing nitrogen oxides by reduction from an exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, moisture, unburned or partially burned components and oxygen, a content of oxygen in the exhaust gas being larger than a stoichiometric amount required for completely oxidizing or burning the unburned or partially burned components, wherein the exhaust gas cleaner consists essentially of a first catalyst consisting essentially of a first porous inorganic oxide carrying at least one silver component, and at least one transition metal component selected from the group consisting of copper, iron, cobalt, nickel and compounds thereof; and a second catalyst selected from the group consisting of (a) a catalyst consisting essentially of a porous titania, (b) a catalyst consisting essentially of a second porous inorganic oxide carrying a titanium component, (c) a catalyst consisting essentially of the second porous inorganic oxide carrying at least one first component selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, silver, cobalt and compounds thereof, at least one second component selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium and compounds thereof, and at least one third component selected from the group consisting of alkali metal elements and rare earth elements, and (d) a catalyst consisting essentially of the second porous inorganic oxide carrying a titanium component and at least one noble metal component selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, iridium and gold.

Exhaust gas cleaner and method for cleaning exhaust gas

An exhaust gas cleaner is constituted of an Ag catalyst carrying an Ag component and a base metal catalyst carrying a Cu component and optionally W, V, Mo components, and a noble metal catalyst carrying a noble metal component. The base metal catalyst and the noble metal catalyst may be physically mixed to form a mixed catalyst. Another exhaust gas cleaner is constituted of the first Ag catalyst carrying an Ag component, the second Ag catalyst carrying an Ag component, a base metal catalyst carrying a Cu component and optionally W, V, Mo components, and a noble metal catalyst carrying a noble metal component. The second Ag catalyst carries the Ag component in an amount larger than that of the first Ag catalyst. The noble metal catalyst is physically mixed with the base metal catalyst to form a mixed catalyst. The exhaust gas cleaner can effectively remove nitrogen oxides in a wide temperature range of exhaust gas.

An exhaust gas cleaner being constituted by a first catalyst of a first porous inorganic oxide supporting a silver component in combination with a W component and a second catalyst of a second porous inorganic oxide supporting a Pt component and optionally a W component. The Ag component may include Ag and compounds thereof, the Pt component may include Pt, Pd, Ru, Rh, Ir, and Au, and the W component may include W, V, Mn, Mo, Nb, and Ta. The W component effectively catalyzes the reduction of nitrogen oxides by ammonia to enhance the removal efficiency of the exhaust gas cleaner.

Exhaust gas cleaner

An exhaust gas cleaner is constituted by a first catalyst carrying an Ag component, a second catalyst carrying an Ni component or two or more of an Ni component, Ag component and Cu component, and optionally a third catalyst carrying a noble metal component alone or in combination with a base metal component. The second and third catalysts may be physically mixed to form a mixed catalyst. Another exhaust gas cleaner is constituted by a mixed catalyst of a first catalyst carrying an Ag component and a second catalyst carrying an Ni component alone or in combination with a Cu component, and a third catalyst carrying a noble metal component alone or in combination with a base metal component. Still another exhaust gas cleaner is constituted by a first catalyst carrying an Ag component, a second catalyst which is a mixture of an Ni catalyst, Ag catalyst and Cu catalyst, and optionally a third catalyst carrying a noble metal component alone or in combination with a base metal component. The second and third catalyst may be physically mixed to form a mixed catalyst.

An exhaust gas cleaner is constituted by a first Ag catalyst, a second Ag catalyst, a transition metal catalyst selected from the group consisting of a Pt catalyst, a W catalyst, a W+Pt catalyst and a mixed catalyst of the Pt catalyst and the W catalyst. The second Ag catalyst and the Pt catalyst may be physically mixed together to form a mixed catalyst. Another exhaust gas cleaner is constituted by an Ag catalyst, a Cu catalyst and a W+Pt catalyst. The Cu catalyst and the W+Pt catalyst may be physically mixed together to form a mixed catalyst. Still another exhaust gas cleaner is constituted by a mixed catalyst of an Ag catalyst and a Cu catalyst. The exhaust gas cleaner can effectively remove nitrogen oxides in a wide temperature range of exhaust gas.
