According to an example aspect of an embodiment, there is provided that an online server determines mobile device to be monitored based on at least partially an Internet Protocol, IP, address of the mobile device. The online server functionality executes an IP-based two-way communications protocol with the mobile device by transmitting one or more request messages. The online server functionality determines one or more lost responses from the mobile device to the one or more request messages and causes generating a request to another entity for triggering the another entity by one or more recovery methods for the mobile device.

Method and apparatus for optimization of video transmissions

An apparatus and method including attaching a user equipment to a long term evolution system and simultaneously registering the user equipment attached to the long term evolution system to a circuit switched domain, is disclosed. The user equipment is simultaneously registered based on an interface between a mobility management entity and a mobile switching center server. A solution for rearranging data transfer in a telecommunication network is provided. Accordingly, a data packet related to a first logical connection and originating from a first user terminal is received in a network node of a first logical connection associated with a first user terminal and a second logical connection associated with a second user terminal in a telecommunication network, wherein the data packet is addressed to the second user terminal. Apparatus, and an associated method, facilitates communication of data frames between elemental devices of a network element, such as an IP (Internet Protocol) base transceiver station of a radio communication system which includes a multi-port interface converter and a router device connected by way of an Ethernet connection. Data applied to a port of the interface converter is formatted into a data frame which selectably includes a Q Tag Prefix populated with a VID (Virtual LAN Identifier) defined in the IEEE 802.1 Q standard. If the data to be communicated by the multi-port interface converter is originated at the converter, the data is formatted into a data frame, but the prefix structure is not included, and therefore the frame is not populated with the VID. When the data frame is received at the router device, detection is made as to whether the data frame includes a prefix structure. Routing of the data of the data frame is made responsive to whether the prefix structure is formed of a VID contained in the data frame.
