The invention relates to a method for constructing an elevator, comprising piling plurality of prefabricated modules on top of each other, such that the hoistway spaces of the prefabricated modules are vertically aligned forming a continuous vertically elongated hoistway where the elevator car and the counterweight can be fitted to move; and arranging the elevator car and the counterweight to be vertically movable in the hoistway. The plurality of prefabricated hoistway modules comprise a prefabricated top module comprising a machinery for driving a hoisting roping, and the prefabricated top module comprises one or more car guide rail sections and one or more counterweight guide rail sections, wherein the machinery for driving a hoisting roping is mounted on a support structure, which is mounted on plurality of said guide rail sections of the prefabricated top module. The invention also relates to an elevator obtained with the method.

Method for constructing elevator and such elevator

The invention relates to an elevator, comprising a hoistway with a plurality of hoistway sections attached to each other to provide a hoistway with a hoistway space, an elevator car arranged in the hoistway space to be vertically movable in the hoistway space between door openings at landings of a building, and doors at the door openings. In order to avoid problems caused by a mutual change of height of a hoistway and a building, a sensor provides to a control system a signal indicating a level difference between a first reference point of the hoistway and a second reference point of the building.

The installation platform comprises two decks and a support frame comprising horizontal support beams supporting a respective deck and vertical support beams. The installation platform has a width in a first horizontal direction between the guide rails, a depth in a second horizontal direction perpendicular to the first horizontal direction. A construction elevator arrangement and a method for producing the same includes a hoisting machinery, an electric cabinet, and cable drums positioned at the bottom of the shaft, an elevator car and a counterweight moving in the shaft, upper pulleys and rope suspenders fixed at an upper end of the lifting height of the construction elevator, and hoisting ropes being fixed to the rope suspenders during the operation of the construction elevator and gliding through the rope suspenders during an upwards jump of the construction elevator in the shaft. The hoisting ropes pass in a 2:1 roping between the car, the upper pulleys, the traction sheave, the counterweight, and the rope suspenders.
