A method comprises receiving an indication of a bending force in excess of a first predetermined threshold being applied to a communications device, and responding to receipt of the indication of the bending force in excess of the first predetermined threshold by causing a message to be transmitted from the communications device to a remote receiver, or responding to subsequent receipt of an indication that the bending force has subsequently fallen below a second predetermined threshold by causing a message to be transmitted from the communication device to a remote receiver.

Causing transmission of a message

Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing an enhanced user interface. A method may include causing display of a semi-transparent user interface layer concurrent with a second user interface layer. At least a portion of the semi-transparent user interface layer and at least a portion of the second user interface layer may overlap. The method may further include detecting a physical stimulus. The method may additionally include determining an effect of the physical stimulus on display of content in the semi-transparent user interface layer. The method may also include applying the determined effect by modifying display of content in the semi-transparent user interface layer in response to detection of the physical stimulus. Corresponding apparatuses are also provided.

Methods and apparatuses for providing an enhanced user interface

An apparatus with a first flexible layer and at least one adjustment member attached to the first flexible layer. The adjustment member is movable between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the adjustment member is configured to allow flexibility of the apparatus, and in the second configuration, the adjustment member is configured to restrict flexibility of the apparatus.

Flexible electronic apparatus

Apparatus comprises at least one processor; at least one memory having computer-readable code stored thereon; a first camera module configured to provide first image data representative of a first image; and a second camera module configured to provide second image data representative of a second image. The first and second camera modules are arranged either side of an axis about which the first camera module is rotatable relative to the second camera module, and are arranged such that, when the first camera module is rotated relative to the second camera module by less than a threshold angle, a region of the first image overlaps a region of the second image. The computer-readable code, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to process the first image data and the second image data; and to generate third image data representative of a third image, the third image representing at least corresponding portions of the overlapping regions of the first and second images.
