A capillary electrophoresis apparatus capable of efficiently using a polymer in a polymer container is provided. The present invention relates to a mechanism for efficiently using the polymer in the polymer container in a capillary electrophoresis apparatus for the electrophoresis with a separation medium filled in a capillary. According to the present invention, since the polymer in the polymer container is not contacted with the air, deterioration of the polymer by oxidation can be prevented.

Capillary electrophoresis apparatus

Even if a standby time to the measurement becomes long, a sample in a sample container is prevented from deteriorating. A cooling mechanism is provided in a sample tray for holding a sample plate, or in a plate-mounting portion of a table-type auto sampler of a capillary electrophoresis apparatus, so that the sample plate is cooled during the measurement also.

To reduce the elongation of the migration time for the first electrophoresis cycle in successive electrophoresis cycles and improve the reliability of electrophoresis analysis. The present invention relates to making the condition of a migration medium at the start of the first electrophoresis analysis in successive electrophoresis analyses after the temperature in a thermostatic oven reaches a desired preset temperature substantially the same as the conditions after the successive electrophoresis analyses. Preferably, a voltage is applied to a separation medium filling a capillary during preheating of the thermostatic oven. Preferably, the temperature in the thermostatic oven during preheating is set higher than the temperature in the thermostatic oven during electrophoresis analysis. Preferably, a buffer solution is heated during preheating of the thermostatic oven. Preferably, the capillary is filled with a preheated separation medium during preheating of the thermostatic oven. According to the present invention, the reliability of the first electrophoresis analysis in successive electrophoresis analyses is improved.

Electrophoresis device and electrophoresis method

When irradiating laser beam from the side face of the capillary array, an optical axis of the laser beam is inclined in vertical direction with respect to a plane face formed by the capillary array, thus, reflection light by the capillary array and returning light is prevented from entering into a laser beam source, thereby, instability of laser oscillation is eliminated.

Capillary array electrophoresis apparatus

A multi-capillary electrophoresis apparatus is provided for reducing errors during analysis caused by fluctuations in electrophoresis time among plural capillaries of the apparatus. The multi-capillary electrophoresis apparatus can contain a multi-capillary array that has a separation medium filled therein for isolating a sample. A detector component can be provided at a position remote from a sample injecting end of the array for acquiring information from the sample. A buffer container can be provided for holding a buffer solution into which the sample injecting end can be immersed. One or more temperature controlling component devices can be arranged for controlling a temperature of the buffer solution, of the detector component, or of both the buffer solution and the detector component.

A method of electrophoresis, an electrophoresis apparatus and a capillary array in which a fluorescently labelled sample is supplied into capillaries in a capillary array constituted by a plurality of capillaries and including a sample supply portion, an electrophoresis medium supply portion and a detection portion while controlling the temperature of the capillary array through gas circulation, the sample is caused to migrate and separated in the capillaries through electrophoresis, and at the region where the capillaries are contacted or come close each other a plurality of capillaries are contacted to a solid body so as to dissipate heat generated from the capillaries to the solid body.

Method of electrophoresis, electrophoresis apparatus and capillary array

An electrophoresis device is disclosed that is capable of reducing waves occurring in a fluid in which the capillary tips of a capillary assay are immersed. A plurality of partition plate members can be provided in a container containing the fluid to divide the surface of the fluid into several sections. The container can be transported at a high speed, and the capillary tips can be immersed in the fluid quickly, thereby preventing resolution degradation caused by a long period of exposure of the capillary tips to air. Throughput of sample analysis can also be improved because it is not necessary to wait until waves disappear before conducting an analysis.
