A dish rack is supported for both selective movement into and out of a washing chamber of a dishwasher tub and vertically relative to the tub, with the vertical adjustment being made by manually grasping and shifting at least one frontal cross bar extending about a front wall of the dish rack to cause pivoting of first and second lever members extending along sides of the dish rack. The side lever members cooperate with latching mechanisms to lift and retain the dish rack in a select raised position.

A household appliance includes a cabinet defining a chamber with an access opening. A door assembly is movably mounted to the cabinet to selectively open and close the access opening. The door assembly includes a door panel defining a front surface and side surfaces. A door panel flange extends inwardly from a rear edge of the side surface. A single-piece console defines a top surface, a front surface, and a rear attachment surface, the top surface substantially perpendicular to the front surface. A rotatable spacer is positioned between the rear attachment surface of the single-piece console and the door panel flange.

In one aspect, a device has a controller and a fascia assembly, with a fascia, and a printed circuit board (PCB) mounted to the fascia. The PCB has a plurality of holes, and a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs), wherein one LED is mounted adjacent to each hole. The device also includes a wiring harness coupling the controller to the PCB wherein the LEDs may be energized according to signals received from the controller; and a console adjacent the PCB. The console has a plurality of light reflecting cups arranged therein so that each light reflecting cup covers an LED and the adjacent hole to reflect light from the LEDs through the holes so that the light is visible through the fascia assembly.

A dishwasher has a tub that defines a treating chamber with an access opening. A door assembly selectively permits access to the treating chamber and may carry electronics for the dishwasher. Appropriately placed chamfered fins in a crown in the door aids in assuring a flush fit and finish in a front panel of the door assembly.

A dish rack is supported for vertical movement relative to a dishwasher tub, with the vertical adjustment being made by manually shifting the dish rack to cause a camming unit of a latching mechanism to cooperate with a follower in establishing at least a lowered position and a raised position for the rack. The camming unit includes a plurality of camming surfaces and ramps establishing multiple tiers upon which the follower is guided while being biased by a spring.
