Systems and methods provide automated, lightweight, and centralized implementations for distributing and securely managing the lifecycle of containerized third-party applications on a cluster of network switches that typically have relatively limited computing resources. The deployed containerized applications may be seamlessly updated and expanded separately from the host network operating system without the complexities involved in a registry infrastructure, such as Kubernetes, Docker, or similar container orchestration platform, without compromising security, and without interfering with the common switching functions and switching protocols of switches in the cluster.

Systems and methods for deploying third-party applications on a cluster of network switches

Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for automatically generating workflows across cloud services involving user-controlled components are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes processing a user request to perform configuration operations on cloud services components, wherein at least one of the cloud services components is user-controlled; generating one or more automation files containing one or more workflows related to configuration operations on the cloud services components; outputting at least a portion of the one or more automation files containing at least a portion of the workflow(s) related to configuration operations on the at least one user-controlled cloud services component to at least one secure storage area accessible to at least one user via one or more cryptographic techniques; processing feedback pertaining to user execution of the at least a portion of the one or more automation files; and performing one or more automated actions based on the feedback.

Automatically generating workflows across cloud services involving user-controlled components

A resilient TCP/IP connection system includes a first computing device coupled to a second computing device. The second computing device transmits a first TCP connection establishment communication that includes a first computing device TCP connection identifier to the first computing device. In response, the second computing device receives a second TCP connection establishment communication that includes a second computing device TCP connection identifier from the first computing device, and establishes a first resilient TCP connection with the first computing device. The second computing device then provides the second computing device TCP connection identifier in each TCP/IP communication transmitted to the first computing device via the first resilient TCP connection, and identifies the first computing device TCP connection identifier in each TCP/IP communication received from the first computing device via the first resilient TCP connection.
