A ridgy resin film made of a resin is formed. On a flat substrate, a first concave and a second concave are formed such as to be spaced a given distance apart from each other. Then, a resin liquid is supplied onto a land being part of the substrate exposed between the first and second concaves. Due to its surface tension, the resin liquid supplied onto the land bulges, and a ridgy resin film even in width is formed by curing the resin liquid in this state. Along the edges of the openings of the first concave and the second concave, ridges are formed. Since the resin liquid is supplied onto the land between the ridges, it does not drip nor overflow.

Process for producing ridgy resin film and recording medium

An optical disk contains a recording layer and an adhesive layer between at least two substrates, wherein the adhesive layer contains a cationic polymerizable resin (A), a photo-initiator (B), and an anion catcher (C). The weight ratio of the photo-initiator (B) and the anion catcher (C) is preferably from 3:1 to 3:24, more preferably from 3:1 to 3:12.

The present invention aims to provide a resin suitable for use as a protective layer or adhesive layer formed on the surface of a metal film. A liquid oligomer having a high specific gravity of 1.10 or more is contained in a photocurable resin involved in photopolymerization of a resin composition. Upon application on a metal film,and photopolymerization, bulky substituents owned by the high-specific gravity liquid oligomer prevent penetration of moisture to provide a protective film,with low water permeability. Said high-specific gravity liquid oligomer should desirably be contained in the photocurable resin within the range from 35% by weight to 78% by weight both inclusive.
