An aluminum alloy brazing sheet including a core material, a sacrificial material provided on one surface of the core material, a brazing filler material provided on the other surface side of the core material, and an intermediate layer provided between the core material and the brazing filler material. The core material contains Si: 0.30 to 1.00 mass %, Mn: 0.50 to 2.00 mass %, Cu: 0.60 to 1.20 mass %, Mg: 0.05 to 0.80 mass %, and Al. The sacrificial material contains Si: 0.10 to 1.20 mass %, Zn: 2.00 to 7.00 mass %, Mn: 0.40 mass % or less, and Al. The intermediate layer contains Si: 0.05 to 1.20 mass %, Mn: 0.50 to 2.00 mass %, Cu: 0.10 to 1.20 mass %, and Al.

Aluminum alloy brazing sheet

An aluminum alloy fin material for a heat exchanger in the present invention comprises an aluminum alloy having a composition containing Mn: 1.2 to 2.0%, Cu: 0.05 to 0.20%, Si: 0.5 to 1.30%, Fe: 0.05 to 0.5%, and Zn: 1.0 to 3.0% by mass and a remainder comprising Al and an unavoidable impurity, further containing one or two or more of Ti: 0.01 to 0.20%, Cr: 0.01 to 0.20% and Mg: 0.01 to 0.20% by mass as desired, and, after heating in brazing, has a tensile strength of 140 MPa or more, a proof stress of 50 MPa or more, an electrical conductivity of 42% IACS or more, an average grain diameter of 150 &#x3bc;m or more and less than 700 &#x3bc;m, and a potential of &#x2212;800 mV or more and &#x2212;720 mV or less.

Aluminum alloy fin material for heat exchanger excellent in strength, electrical conductivity, and brazeability, method for manufacturing aluminum alloy fin material for heat exchanger, and heat exchanger comprising aluminum alloy fin material for heat exchanger

A heat exchanger includes tubes and a header tank. The tubes are arranged in parallel with each other, and fluid flows in the tubes. The header tank is disposed at end portions of the tubes in a longitudinal direction of the tubes and extends in a direction in which the tubes are arranged in parallel with each other to communicate with the tubes. The header tank includes a core plate, a resin tank main body part, and a resiliently-deformable sealing member. The tubes are joined to the core plate. The tank main body part is fixed to the core plate. The core plate includes a receiving part at which the sealing member is disposed. The tank main body part is fixed to the core plate with the sealing member clamped between an end part of the tank main body part on the core plate-side and the receiving part. The receiving part is disposed on a farther side from the tubes in the longitudinal direction of the tubes than the end portions of the tubes in the longitudinal direction of the tubes.

Heat exchanger

A brazing sheet formed of an aluminum alloy and exhibiting excellent post-brazing strength, corrosion resistance and brazability with a thickness of less than 200 &#x3bc;m is provided. The brazing sheet includes a core layer, a filler layer of an Al&#x2014;Si based alloy on one side of the core layer, and a sacrificial layer on the other side of the core layer. The core layer includes more than 1.5 mass % and 2.5 mass % or less of Cu, 0.5 mass % to 2.0 mass % of Mn, Al, and inevitable impurities. The sacrificial layer includes 2.0 mass % to 7.0 mass % of Zn, more than 0.10 mass % and 3.0 mass % or less of Mg, Al, and inevitable impurities. The filler layer and the sacrificial layer each have a thickness of 15 &#x3bc;m to 50 &#x3bc;m. A total clad rate of the filler layer and the sacrificial layer is equal to or less than 50%.

Brazing sheet formed of aluminum alloy

A tank includes a tank wall that has an opening, which is configured into a generally rectangular form that extends in a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction while a cross section of the tank wall, which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the opening, is curved, and a tank foot is formed to extend all around the opening of the tank wall. A gate position is placed in a longitudinal center portion of one side surface of the tank foot, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the tank wall.

Tank for heat exchanger, and method for manufacturing the same

An aluminum alloy brazing sheet for heat exchangers has a core, a sacrificial material formed on one side of the core, and a brazing filler metal formed on the other side of the core. The core is made of an aluminum alloy containing Si, Cu, Mn, and Al. The sacrificial material is made of an aluminum alloy containing Si, Zn, Mg, and Al. The brazing filler metal is made of an aluminum alloy. The aluminum alloy brazing sheet for heat exchangers has a work hardening exponent n of not less than 0.05. The core has an average crystal grain size of not more than 10 &#x3bc;m in a cross-section. The aluminum alloy brazing sheet for heat exchangers has excellent strength and corrosion resistance even when it is formed into a thin material and also has excellent high frequency weldability and weld cracking resistance during electric resistance welding.

A heat exchanger, such as a radiator, may transfer heat from a liquid and employ a first header tank, a second header tank, a plurality of tubes fluidly joining the first and second header tanks, and a baffle within one of the first or second header tanks. The baffle may be located in a header tank positioned substantially parallel or perpendicular to a surface upon which a vehicle employing the hear exchanger rests. The baffle may be a wall defining only one slot, a wall defining only one slot that is open through one side of the wall, a wall that defines a plurality of slots, or a wall that defines a plurality of holes. The heat exchanger may further employ fluidly isolated first and second tube and fin sections each defining a self-contained flow path for cooling different liquids. The baffle may slow coolant flow in a flow path.

A tube inside passage height (Tr) is set within a range of 0.35&#x2013;0.8 mm. Thereby, sum of radiation performance reduction due to pressure loss inside tube and radiation performance reduction due to air flow resistance is reduced, thereby attaining high radiation performance. Especially, when the tube inside passage height (Tr) is set within a range of 0.5&#x2013;0.7 mm, the radiation performance is further improved.

Refrigerant condenser used for automotive air conditioner

A heat-exchanging plate member has a pair of heat-exchanging plates, each of which has projection ribs and fluid passage forming portions arranged alternately. The pair of plates are connected to each other in a manner that the projection ribs formed in the plates, respectively, face outwardly with each other, and the projection ribs formed in one of the plates are connected to the fluid passage forming portions formed in the other of the plates, respectively, at a temperature where the strength of material is not lowered in a connecting process.

A tube inside passage height (Tr) is set within a range of 0.35-0.8 mm. Thereby, sum of radiation performance reduction due to pressure loss inside tube and radiation performance reduction due to air flow resistance is reduced, thereby attaining high radiation performance. Especially, when the tube inside passage height (Tr) is set within a range of 0.5-0.7 mm, the radiation performance is further improved.

In a receiver-integrated condenser, a super-cooling portion for cooling liquid refrigerant from a receiving unit is disposed between first and second condensing portions in a core portion in a vertical direction. Therefore, in an engine-idling, even when high-temperature air having passed through the receiver-integrated condenser is introduced again toward an upstream air side of the receiver-integrated condenser through a lower side of the receiver-integrated condenser, the high-temperature air is not introduced toward the arrangement position of said super-cooling portion, because the super-cooling portion is positioned at an upper side from the second condensing portion. Thus, super-cooling performance of refrigerant in the super-cooling portion of the core portion is prevented from being decreased even in the engine idling.

Receiver-integrated condenser

A double heat exchanger including a radiator and a condenser for an air conditioner is mounted on a vehicle through first and second brackets. When the radiator is detached from the vehicle, a bolt for securing a side plate of the radiator to the second bracket is removed firstly, and the radiator is inclined in a front-rear direction of the vehicle. Thereafter, the radiator is pulled upwardly to be detached from the first bracket. When the radiator is attached to the vehicle, a first extending portion of the side plate of the radiator is inserted between first and second holding portions of the first bracket. In this state, the radiator is moved to contact an inclining member of the first bracket, and is fastened to the second bracket through the bolt. Thus, the radiator is readily detached from and attached to the vehicle and requires a small mounting space.

Heat exchanger for vehicle air conditioner

A core unit of a heat exchanger is composed of a plurality of parallel flat tubes, a plurality of corrugated fins, a support member disposed between two of the corrugated fins and an electric heater disposed inside the support member. The support member has a pair of parallel plates bonded to the corrugated fins at the summits of corrugation of the corrugated fins. The electric heater is composed of a heating element and an insulation member inserted between the heating element and the parallel plates.

A refrigerant condenser is set so that, if its condensation distance is L, the equivalent diameter of a tube having a linearly configured passage for the purpose of heat exchange is de (each dimension being in units of mm), and the number of times the direction change of the linearly configured passage for the purpose of heat exchange change is N, with de.ltoreq.1.15 and the relationship L=(N+1)W=400+1,180 de to 700+1,180 de satisfied, a high heat exchange efficiency is achieved. In this refrigerant condenser, it is possible to use a single long winding tube.

An air conditioning apparatus includes a heating heat exchanger for heating air blown toward a passenger compartment using hot water as a heating source. A plurality of electric heating members are formed integrally with the heating heat exchanger, and electric power supplied to the electric heating members is controlled according a temperature of the hot water. Therefore, a number of the electric heating members to be operated is finely controlled according to the temperature of water flowing through the heating heat exchanger. Further, when a water temperature of the heating heat exchanger is lower than a predetermined temperature (e.g., 35.degree. C.), a water valve is closed to interrupt the flow of water to the heating heat exchanger, and a blower is operated. Therefore, a quantity of heat transmitted from the electric heating members to the water in the heating heat exchanger can be greatly decreased.
