A fuel injection device mounted on a main body of an air-fuel mixture generating device including an electromagnetic driving-type fuel injection valve for injecting, at predetermined times, fuel into an air-intake passageway of an intake system of an internal combustion engine, and a collision plate operationally coupled to the fuel injection valve adapted to be disposed in the air-intake passageway for enabling the injected fuel to collide therewith.

A starter that is capable of minimizing fluctuations in the pulling force of a starter rope so as to make it possible to perform a smooth pulling operation when starting an internal combustion engine includes a driving section (A), a driven section (B), and a buffering/power-accumulating device ( ) interposed between the driving section (A) and the driven section (B).

Starter

A portable power blower includes a body and a handle mounted on a top of the body. The body includes a prime mover, a fan volute chamber, a fan housed in the fan volute chamber and attached to one end of an output shaft of the prime mover, and an air inlet of the fan volute chamber formed in front of the fan. A main guard member is so mounted as to cover one side surface of the fan volute chamber on which the air inlet is formed, and a gap for radially introducing external air into the air inlet is formed between a rear side of the main guard member and the one side surface. The gap is in open communication with atmosphere at a top portion of the body. A bottom guard member connected to the main guard member and the fan volute chamber covers bottom portions of the fan volute chamber and the prime mover, and a sub-guard member connected to the bottom guard member and the fan volute chamber covers sides of the prime mover which oppose the main guard member and the bottom guard member, respectively.

A hand-held edger is disclosed which is so constructed that the lower portions of the gear box and the safety cover member are prevented from directly scraping against the ground during trimming operation to enable abrasion thereof to be avoided, and that tendency to be caught by lawn grasses and liability to wobble are extremely reduced to enable improved operational properties to be attained. The hand-held edger comprises a supporting rod 14 one end of which is connected to a prime mover, a gear box 20 connected to the other end of said supporting rod 14, a rotary blade 22 which is driven by power transmitted from said prime mover via said gear box 20, a safety cover member 12 which covers said rotary blade 22, and a traveling wheel 17 journal-supported by a rear portion 12b behind said gear box 20, wherein a ring-shaped traveling auxiliary wheel 30 is rotatably mounted over the circumference of said gear box 20.

Hand-held edger

A fluid jetting pipe for discharging fluid jets. Variable outlet members are disposed at an outlet end of the jetting pipe such that the outlet opening area through which the fluid jets are allowed to discharge from the jetting pipe is fully opened in a normal state and can be narrowed down on demand.

An exhaust muffler cover for internal combustion engines having a piled buffering layer provided on the outer surface of a cover member surrounding the exhaust muffler body with a suitable gap therebetween. The cover member has a sufficiently reduced thickness to ensure a good radiation of the heat transmitted from the exhaust muffler body. An attaching member playing the role of a reinforcement is fixed to the inner peripheral end of the cover member.
