Provided is a synchronization device that synchronizes time-series data between a master and a slave by wireless communication, the master including a packet transmission unit that transmits a plurality of packets at a predetermined interval, and the slave including a synchronization unit that synchronizes time-series data transmitted by the master and time-series data received by the slave on the basis of the interval between the plurality of packets.

A clock time measurement section measures a clock time of another clock time management section of another apparatus and a clock time of the clock time management section of this apparatus for every predetermined processing, in the course of communication with the other apparatus having the other clock time management section. A clock time difference generation section generates a clock time difference between the clock time of the other clock time management section and the clock time of the clock time management section on the basis of the measured clock times. A clock time correction instruction section instructs the other apparatus to correct the clock time of the other clock time management section on the basis of the generated clock time difference.

The present technology relates to a recording apparatus, a recording method, and a program capable of avoiding a buffer overflow at the time of reproduction. Each packet is separated from a packet string, and information indicating an arrival timing of each packet is output. The packet is divided into divided packets having a size which does not cause a buffer overflow, and a packet arrival time of each divided packet is embedded in a header of the divided packet. The present technology is applied to the recording apparatus.

A packet-correcting-method selecting unit selects a packet correcting method from a packet correction table generated in accordance with the packet information and packet identification/statistics information from the statistics information accumulating unit, and supplies a packet to be corrected to a packet correcting unit in a case where the packet in process is determined to be a target of correction. In one example, a transmission device includes a multiplexer that generates a data stream by multiplexing a data packet and a control information packet separately from each other, the data packet being a packet including reproduction data as the current data to be reproduced, the control information packet being a packet including control information to be used in reproducing the reproduction data. The multiplexer multiplexes a first packet in a position behind the position located a predetermined first number of packets before a second packet among multiplexing-enabled positions in which the control information packet can be multiplexed in the data stream, the first packet being the control information packet including the control information corresponding to a predetermined processing unit of the reproduction data, the second packet being the data packet including the processing unit.

In one example, a packet selection units selects one service stream from a multiplexed stream obtained by multiplexing a plurality of service streams.
