There is provided a rolling bearing which inhibits spalling of a rolling element and has a long service life even under rigorous environments. The rolling bearing comprises grease for lubricating rolling contact parts and/or sliding contact parts between a first raceway surface and a rolling elements and/or between a second raceway surface and a rolling elements, wherein the grease comprises a base oil, a thickener and an extreme pressure additive, the thickener is a diurea compound obtained by allowing an amine mixture comprising alkylphenylamine, alkyl group of which has 8 to 16 carbon atoms, and cyclohexylamine, to react with a diisocyanate compound, an amount of cyclohexylamine in the total amount of the alkylphenylamine and cyclohexylamine is from 91 to 99% by mole, and a reaction temperature of the extreme pressure additive with iron is 260&#xb0; C. or lower.

Rolling bearing

A tapered roller bearing includes: an outer race including an outer raceway surface; an inner race including an inner raceway surface and a larger collar surface which is a concave curved surface; and tapered rollers provided between the outer and inner races, each of the tapered rollers including a tapered surface and a larger end surface which is a convex curved surface communicating with the tapered surface and corresponds to the larger collar surface.

The present invention comprises a pulley, a shaft body which is rotatable relative to the pulley and is concentrically disposed radially inside of the pulley, a one-way clutch which is interposed at an annular space between the pulley and the shaft body, a rolling bearing which is disposed in the annular space adjacent to the one-way clutch in an axial direction, an inner annular seal which is provided outside the rolling bearing in the annular space, and an outer annular seal which is provided outside the inner annular seal and has a proximal end portion and a distal end side lip. The proximal end portion of the outer annular seal is fixed to one of an inner peripheral surface of the pulley and an outer peripheral surface of the shaft body, and the distal end side lip of the outer annular seal contacts the other peripheral surface.

Pulley unit

A pulley unit includes a pulley and a rotor concentrically disposed for relative rotation, a one-way clutch interposed in an annular space therebetween, rolling bearings provided on opposite sides of the one-way clutch, and a seal ring for sealing the annular space. An inner diametrical surface of the pulley forms an outer ring raceway of the one-way clutch and the rolling bearing, and an outer diametrical surface of the shaft body forms an inner ring raceway of the one-way clutch and the rolling bearing. An outer diameter side of an annular portion of a retainer of the rolling bearing on the side of the seal ring is reduced so as to increase a storage volume of lubricating oil between the rolling bearing and the seal ring.

An antifriction bearing unit comprises a rotating shaft, an outer ring, and rolling members. The rotating shaft comprises a large-diameter shaft portion serving as an inner ring and a small-diameter shaft portion, which is hollow and has a fitting portion of increased diameter at one end thereof. The large-diameter shaft portion has an end portion fitted and fixed in the fitting portion of the small-diameter shaft portion. The fitting portion has an outward flange integral with an end thereof. The outer ring is fixedly provided with a seal member having lips slidable in contact with the flange and the outer peripheral surface of the large-diameter shaft portion, respectively.
