An ultrasonic sealing apparatus is provided for transversely ultrasonically sealing a packing material comprised of a laminated body including at least a thermoplastic resin layer having a tubular form and containing a fluid. The apparatus includes a horn having an elongated and flat sealing face and an opposing jaw with an action face including a pressing portion for pressing the packing material in cooperation with the sealing face of the horn to a define at least one transverse sealing zone of the tubular packing material. At least one groove is disposed on the action face of the opposing jaw for forming a molten thermoplastic resin bulge in a vicinal area of the at least one sealing zone on a side in contact with the fluid in the tubular packing material.

In said method, liquid is filled into a container that had been intermittently carried in a sequential manner to a filling station by raising and lowering said container, the filling is started when the container is raised before it reaches the upper dead point of raising and lowering, the container is filled with a specified amount of liquid at the upper dead point of raising and lowering, and then filling is continued while lowering the container. It is preferable for the filling to be started before the carrying of the container is stopped, for example, the start of the filling to be advanced 30&deg; to 70&deg; from the upper dead point of raising and lowering in one raising and lowering cycle of 360&deg;. Container forming device

An object of the present invention is to provide a sterilizing liquid remover and a method of removing the sterilizing liquid which can easily remove/dry the sterilizing liquid which remains at the step portion formed by the sealing tape and the web which forms the container's interior side in the packing material web having the sealing tape adhered to its side end portion. Driblets on the surface of the web are squeezed by squeeze rollers disposed such that they can open and close while sandwiching the transfer route of the web W having the sealing tape adhered to its side end portion therebetween, the heated air is blasted at the step portion formed by the sealing tape and the web by the second air knife then the heated air is blasted at the whole width of both faces of the web by the first air knives and the sterilizing liquid is removed. The remaining blown driblets at the step portion can be also removed by the second air knife which can blast the heated air widely and laterally at the step portion.
