The present invention provides a medium protection device and a medium separating and stacking device capable of avoiding damage to a medium when moving the medium along a guide. In a banknote cassette, a guide body is attached to a circumferential side face of a central body of a tongue piece roller in a range not provided with tongue pieces. When feeding out banknotes, the banknote cassette stops the tongue piece roller in a retracted state, thereby positioning an outer circumferential face of the guide body in the vicinity of the surface of a front upper curved portion of a hole in the conveyance guide, such that the hole can be placed in an almost completely blocked state. The present invention can accordingly prevent the vicinity of a corner of a banknote from entering the hole, enabling creasing during conveyance to be forestalled.

Medium protection device and medium separating and stacking device

A bill deposit/dispensing section has: an opening/closing section that moves a shutter in an opening direction and a closing direction; a driving section having driving force; a lock gear that serves as a gear section that drives the opening/closing section by transmitting driving force of the driving section to the opening/closing section by contacting the driving section and the opening/closing section and rotating; and a shutter locking/unlocking section that, by contacting the gear section and restricting rotation of the gear section, restricts operation of the opening/closing section and locks the shutter such that the shutter does not move, and, on the other hand, by coming apart from the gear section and freeing rotation of the gear section, releases locking so as to move the opening/closing section and move the shutter. Due thereto, a shutter device and media transaction device having improved security are provided.

Shutter device and medium transaction device

An apparatus includes one-side reels rotatably arranged, one-side tapes wound around the one-side reels, a drum arranged to rotate in one direction to wind and store a medium with the medium being laid over the one-side tapes and in an opposite direction to pull out the wound medium, and retainers opposed to the one-side tapes with respect to the medium wound by or pulled out from the drum for abutting against a surface of the medium to hold the medium, the one-side tapes having a tape width shorter than the width of the medium corresponding to the length of the medium in a direction perpendicular to a transfer direction of the medium, the one-side tapes being arranged in parallel and spaced with a spacing shorter than the width of the medium in a direction of the width of the medium to abut against another surface of the medium.

Medium storage and advancing apparatus

A medium storage and feeding device and a medium processing device that may prevent occurrences of faults more reliably than the related art. A drum () is provided that winds up a banknote BL nipped by pairs of tapes (L,R,L andR) together with the pairs of tapes. Torque limiters (L,R,L andR) are separately provided at each of tape reels (L,R,L andR). The torque limiters control torques between the tape reels and reel rotation axle shafts (and), such that tensions applied to the tapes between the tape reels (L,R,L andR) and the drum () are constant. Thus, tensions on the tapes between the respective tape reels and the drum may be kept constant, banknote nipping stability may be improved, and occurrences of faults may be prevented more reliably than in the related art.

Medium storage and feeding device and medium processing device

A medium stocking apparatus includes a housing having an open area, reels on which tapes are wound, a diverting unit for turning backward the tapes, a cylindrical drum on which a medium is wound with the tapes overlaid, and an openable unit for closing and opening an internal space from and to outside. During an operation, a closed state can be retained, and, during a maintenance work, an open state can be achieved, in which the openable unit is rotated in an upward direction for displacing upper tapes. The medium stocking apparatus can thus be offered which allows a maintenance work with high workability without impairing the tapes.
