An operation line is set on the basis of a shift position and a brake pedal position, from among a plurality of operation lines in which a degree of avoidance of an abnormal noise generation region from a fuel-economy optimal operation line becomes smaller as a degree to which travel of the vehicle is restricted becomes greater. An engine and a motor are controlled by setting a target operation point of the engine using the set operation line, and by setting a torque instruction of the motor.

Control device of hybrid vehicle

A first receiver receives an activation signal from a first network and gives the activation signal to an input side of a second transmitter via a first connection line; thereby, the activation signal is sent out via the second transmitter to a second network. Thus, the activation signal is not directly transmitted from the first network to the second network; instead, the activation signal is transmitted by using conversion functions of the first receiver and the second transmitter. This configuration can prevent occurrence of distortion or attenuation in the activation signal. The activation signal from the first network thus enables ECUs belonging to the second network to be activated certainly without delay.

Data relay apparatus

In an electronic control apparatus for vehicles, there is provided a main microcomputer activated when a given activation condition is met and a sub-microcomputer to which a power control signal controlling power supply to the sub-microcomputer is supplied. A first power supply unit supplies, via a first supply line, power supply voltage to the main microcomputer for activation, and a second power supply unit supplies, via a second supply line different from the first supply line, power supply voltage to the sub-microcomputer for activation when the sub-microcomputer receives the power control signal. The main microcomputer determines whether or not the sub-microcomputer should be made to operate and performs a switchover between output and non-output of the power control signal to the second power supply unit based on the determined results, whereby the power supply to the sub-microcomputer is controlled.

Electronic control apparatus provided with plural microcomputers for electronically controlling electronic devices mounted in vehicle

An electric control apparatus for a vehicle is provided. The apparatus comprises at least two microcomputers, an external monitoring unit, and an internal monitoring means. The two microcomputers are composed of a first microcomputer and a second microcomputer, The first microcomputer is assigned to controlling travel functions of a vehicle. The external monitoring unit monitors whether or not the first microcomputer is in a normal operation and is placed outside the first and second microcomputers. The internal monitoring means monitors whether or not the first microcomputer is in a normal operation and is within the first microcomputer.

Electronic control apparatus for vehicles, which is provided with plural microcomputers

An electric control apparatus, mounted on a vehicle, has a height direction and comprises an electronic circuit board, a submersion sensor, and a controller. The electric circuit board has a mounting surface and is mounted in the vehicle so that the mounting surface is along the height direction of the vehicle. The submersion sensor, which is mounted on the mounting surface of the circuit board, senses a condition that the vehicle is about to be submerged in a flooded area and outputs an electric signal showing the condition. The controller, which is mounted on the mounting surface of the circuit board, performs control for securing safety of an occupant of the vehicle when the controller receives the electric signal from the submersion sensor. The submersion sensor is lower in a mounted position on the mounting surface of the circuit board than the controller along the height direction.

Electronic control apparatus for controlling on-vehicle devices when vehicle is about to be submerged in flooded area

In an ECU, a level adjusting unit communicable to first and second control circuits and a bus transceiver installed in the ECU receives first data and second data respectively transmitted from the first and second control circuits. The bus transceiver is communicable to a communication bus. When the first data and the second data are simultaneously received, the level adjusting unit merges the first data and the second data such that a first electric level of the first data wins with a second electric level of the second data. The level adjusting unit outputs the merged data to the bus transceiver.

Electronic control unit with a plurality of control circuits

A network relay apparatus relays data accompanied by additional information among plural networks through input ports and output ports. In the apparatus, a deciding unit decides, from the output ports, an objective output port to which the data inputted via any one of the input ports is to be inputted, on the basis of the additional information of the data inputted. An output unit outputs the inputted data through the decided objective output port. A producing unit produces diagnostic data to which the additional information including information indicating the decided objective output port is added, and a providing unit provides the deciding unit with the produced diagnostic data. Further, a fault diagnostic unit is provided to determine whether a fault has occurred in the network relay apparatus on the basis of information concerning the diagnostic data and the decided objective output port.
