A wheel resonator, which is provided by integrating a first member having a first welding surface with a second member having a second welding surface and includes a volume chamber and a communicating tube. The volume chamber has a flat shape and is configured to extend along an outer surface of a vehicle wheel when the wheel resonator is attached to the vehicle wheel. The first welding surface and the second welding surface are welded to each other, and are provided on a single welding plane. The welding plane extends in a circumferential direction and a width direction of the vehicle wheel when the wheel resonator is attached to the vehicle wheel, is a plane on which the volume chamber is divided into two volume portions, and is a plane on which the communicating tube is divided into two communication portions. The communicating tube extends along the welding plane.

Wheel resonator

A duct structure, includes: a vessel forming therein a chamber, the vessel including: an inlet port, an outlet port, wherein the vessel is configured such that a fluid flows into the chamber through the inlet port and flows out of the chamber through the outlet port, and a swirling flow suppressing member disposed in a position inside the chamber adjacent to the outlet port, wherein the swirling flow suppressing member is configured to suppress a swirling flow from occurring to or adjacent to the outlet port.

Duct structure

The case of an intake silencer system includes a first case half and a second case half coupled to each other at mating faces, with an intake duct clamped between the mating faces. The intake duct opens into a resonant chamber within the case, so that noise is damped by a resonant effect. Three ribs are provided on an inner surface of the first case half, thereby defining four subsidiary silencing chambers each functioning as a side branch for producing a resonant effect to obtain a silencing effect in a wide frequency range. The ribs also contribute to an enhancement in rigidity of the wall surfaces of the case.
