Provided is a method of extracting a relational formula that relates two material property parameters from a textbook document using a computer and storing the extracted relational formula in a material property relationship database, which method enables search in consideration of a quantitative relationship between material properties. The information processing method according to the present invention comprises inputting a relational formula representing a relation between a pair of material property parameters in a material property relationship database storing pairs of mutually related material property parameters. Equation information representing a relational formula is extracted from read input data, and multiple variables constituting a relational formula and a relational formula specifying that relation are extracted from the equation information. Description defining each of the extracted variables is extracted from the input data, and each variable is associated with a material property parameter with reference to the material property relationship database. The extracted relational formula is input in the material property relationship database in association with the pair of material property parameters corresponding to two of the multiple variables constituting the relational formula.

Information-processing method, search system, and search method

To effectively utilize knowledge of relationship information among material property parameters the users tangibly and intangibly have in a search system that generates a graph in which material property parameters are nodes and relationships of the material property parameters are edges from a database of material property parameter pairs whose relationships are already known, and conducts a path search in the generated graph. A search system, which includes the database, a graph generator that generates the graph, and a graph searcher searches the graph, further includes a user interface and a user information storage unit corresponding to each user. The user conducts a search unique to the user by inputting relationship information between the material property parameters that he has to the user information storage unit and integrating the relationship information into the above graph. Further, by accumulating a history of searches conducted by the user in the user information storage unit and analyzing the search history, the user can be provided with new knowledge.

Search system and search method for finding new relationships between material property parameters

Provided is a search system that executes a path search in a graph (a material property relationship graph) in which each material property parameter of a material property parameter pair whose relationship is already known is node and a relationship between the material property parameters is an edge, the search method capable of executing various search methods and various search systems. The search system includes a graph searcher that executes a path search in a material property relationship graph, and a search condition extractor that supplies a plurality of search items to the graph searcher based on search conditions to be input. The search condition extractor extracts, based on the input search conditions, a start point or an end point or both a start point and an end point, and a third node different from the start point and the end point or a path length condition and supplies the extracted items to the graph searcher as a search item. The graph searcher, depending on the supplied search items, searches the material property relationship graph, and outputs a path or a subgraph that matches the search condition as a search result.

Search system and search method

The present invention searches for, in order of priority, a combination of material property parameters having a significant relationship, from among arbitrary combinations of multiple material property parameters. The present invention comprises a database stored in a storage device, a graph generation step, a graph search step, and a prioritization step, wherein the database stores multiple pairs of material property parameters having mutual relationship; the graph generation step includes generating a graph in which the multiple material property parameters stored in the database are represented as nodes, and inter-node spaces corresponding to the respective material property parameter pairs each being stored as having a relationship therebetween are represented as edges; the graph search step includes searching the graph on the basis of a given search condition and presenting multiple related material properties or inter-material property relationship paths representing relationships between material properties; and the prioritization step includes obtaining, by using information about one or both of the nodes and the edges, priority for the presented multiple related material properties or inter-material property relationship paths, and outputting a result in the descending order of priority.

Search method, search device, and search system

Provided are a search system and a search method capable of searching an unknown combination of material property parameters having a significant relationship based on already known relationships from among multiple arbitrary combinations of material property parameters. The search system includes a database, a graph generator, and a graph searcher, and is configured as follows: the database stores the plurality of pairs of material property parameters having mutual relationships, and the graph generator generates a graph in which material property parameters stored in the database are nodes, and an inter-node corresponding to the pairs of material property parameters stored to have mutual relationships is an edge. The graph searcher searches the graph generated by the graph generator based on a given search condition and outputs a search result.
