An antenna device includes: a ground electrode; a first dielectric layer which is provided on one surface of the ground electrode; a feed plate which is provided on a surface of the first dielectric layer opposite from the ground electrode, and which is shorted to the ground electrode; a feed line which feeds to the feed plate; a second dielectric layer which is provided in such a manner as to sandwich the feed plate in combination with the first dielectric layer; and a radiation electrode which is provided on a surface of the second dielectric layer opposite from the feed plate, and which is fed by being electrically connected to the feed plate at a feed point and thereby radiates or receives a radiowave with a first frequency.

Antenna device

An antenna unit includes a housing, a substrate, and an antenna. The housing includes a bottom wall, first and second side walls extending upward from the corresponding side edges of the bottom wall, a rear wall extending upward from the rear edge of the bottom wall, and an upper wall extending from the upper edge of the first side wall toward the second side wall leaving a gap between an edge of the upper wall and the second side wall. The substrate is fixed to the upper wall, and a part of the substrate projects from the edge of the upper wall to a position that is closer to the second side wall than is the edge of the upper wall. The antenna is fixed to the part of the substrate projecting from the edge of the upper wall such that a radio-wave emitting aperture of the antenna faces forward.

Antenna unit and electronic apparatus

An information processing apparatus has radio communication function. A tilt detection unit detects a tilt of the information processing apparatus. An output changing unit changes an output of radio waves from an antenna for radio communication. Based on a detection result through the tilt detection unit, when a tilt &#x3b8; of a predetermined external surface of a chassis of the information processing apparatus to a horizontal surface H is a predetermined angle or less, an output controller reduces an output of radio waves from the antenna to a predetermined value or less with respect to the output changing unit.

Information processing apparatus and radio wave intensity control method

An antenna device is mounted in a note PC and is used for communication between the note PC and the external of the note PC. The antenna device is provided with an antenna for wireless LAN for transmitting and receiving radio waves, and a cover. The cover is formed of a dielectric material for covering the antenna with a wall and a ceiling, and strengthens the directivity of radio wave communication on the wall side of the antenna device by a double layer structure of the ceiling that is thicker than the wall.

Antenna device, electronic device and antenna cover

The electronic equipment includes a housing accommodating an electronic circuit used in the operation of the device and a high-frequency circuit for wireless communication related to the operation of the device. A dielectric antenna is mounted on the rear surface of the housing near a lateral end thereof. Since the electronic circuit for operation and the high-frequency circuit for wireless communication are provided in the housing, it is not necessary to connect a personal computer and a mobile telephone by a cable thus making the device mobile. Further, since the dielectric antenna connected to the high-frequency circuit is mounted on the rear surface of the housing, the antenna characteristics can be improved and stabilized.

Electronic equipment

An antenna not requiring screws etc. for affixing it to a liquid crystal display unit, able to be applied in the same shape and dimensions even for units of different dimensions or shapes, and giving a good radiating characteristic and gain characteristic of the antenna itself, provided with a support designed to straddle a projecting ridge of a housing and supported by the housing, a ground contact spring extending from the support to the side surface of the unit to contact the side surface of the unit, and an antenna element extending from the support to the opposite side of the support from the ground contact spring; the support, ground contact spring, and antenna element being formed integrally by sheet metal.

Device-carried antenna and method of affixing same

The electronic equipment according to the present invention is adapted to be operated by an operator in facing positional relationship therewith. This electronic equipment includes a housing accommodating an electronic circuit for operation and a high-frequency circuit for wireless communication related to the operation, and a dielectric antenna connected to the high-frequency circuit. The dielectric antenna is mounted on the rear surface of the housing near a lateral end thereof. Since the electronic circuit for operation and the high-frequency circuit for wireless communication are provided in the housing, it is not necessary to connect a personal computer and a mobile telephone by a cable according to predetermined specifications as in the prior art, so that it is possible to provide electronic equipment which can be easily used as a mobile terminal. Further, since the dielectric antenna connected to the high-frequency circuit is mounted on the rear surface of the housing near a lateral end thereof, the antenna characteristics can be improved and stabilized.
