A holding base for removably holding an electronic device has a holding base body, a signal terminal provided in the holding base body, and connected to the electronic device in a holding position in which the electronic device is held, and a first connector attached to a surface of a printed circuit board, connected to the signal terminal, and connected to another electronic device. The printed circuit board is held by a bottom of the holding base body with the first connector held underneath the printed circuit board, such that a connecting port of the first connector faces a back side of the holding base body, and with an end edge of a front side of the holding base body positioned lower than an end edge of the back side thereof by an offset amount. The offset amount is set to be less than a thickness of the first connector.

Holding base and information processing system

A holding base for removably holding a mobile phone has a first holding position in which the mobile phone is held under own weight, a second holding position in which the mobile phone is held by engaging a portion of the holding base, power supply terminals that are connected to the mobile phone in the first holding position and the second holding position, and signal terminals that are connected to the mobile phone in the second holding position, and at least one of which is separated from the mobile phone in the first holding position.

A connection device of electronic equipment which provides a connection device preventing electrostatic damage and electronic equipment provided with the connection device. The connection device includes conductive terminals and lightning conductor portions disposed adjacent to and insulated from the conductive terminals, the lightning conductor portions being kept at the grounding potential through connection to a grounded conductor, thus causing static electricity discharge in the lightning conductor portions and avoiding discharge toward the conductive terminals.

In relation to cables, a cable apparatus, which enhances downsizing by housing a cable when not in use and operability at the time of housing and pulling-out operations, is provided. The cable apparatus for use in connecting electronic apparatuses comprises a chassis housing a cable with connector units connected to the electronic apparatuses; a winding mechanism winding and housing the cable within the chassis; and an operation unit applying a turning force to the winding mechanism and allowing the winding mechanism to wind the cable, wherein the operation unit is pulled up from the chassis to allow the winding mechanism to wind the cable when operated and is pulled down toward the chassis when not operated.

Cable apparatus

A sheet cassette for an image forming apparatus supports a pivotally mounted sheet loading plate while giving a degree of freedom to the cassette tray by allowing a free end of the sheet loading tray to vertically move. Sheet guides for regulating the lateral position of sheets on the sheet loading tray are supported by the cassette tray and are aligned with apertures provided in the sheet loading plate, so that some play exists between the sheet guides and the cassette tray. Also, the problem that the sheets on the loading tray may run diagonally, or their printing position may be shifted laterally, when the sheet is fed from the cassette tray by the feed roller is overcome by the invention wherein a part of, or the entire sheet guides, are pivotally supported directly on the sheet loading plate so that each sheet guide is pivoted with respect to the sheet loading plate whereby, even when the sheet loading plate is moved upward, the sheet guides will not project outside the cassette tray but, instead, to the rear side of the sheet loading plate within the cassette tray. Apparatus is also provided for adjusting the fitting angle and the width direction position of the sheet loading plate.

Sheet loading apparatus for image forming device

An image forming device that can surely prevent a flutter of a sheet-like medium in the feeding portion even when there is a difference in velocity between the conveying belt and the front conveying system at the time of feeding a sheet-like medium onto the conveying belt, thereby obtaining a high-quality image. The image forming device includes a pressure roller mounted in an idle mode on the conveying belt and near to the portion where the transfer paper is fed from the conveying system, the transfer paper being transferred from the conveying system onto the conveying belt while being sandwiched between the pressure roller and the conveying belt. The image forming device is applicable to printers of electro-photographic system, electro-static recording system, or the like.

Image forming device

A plurality of electrostatic recording units are arranged in series along a path for moving a recording sheet of paper, and charged toner images having different colors are formed on the sheet of paper travelled through the path. A paper feeder unit is arranged beneath a paper introduction side of the paper moving path. The sheet of paper carrying the toner image formed thereon is ejected from a paper ejection side of the paper moving path, and is sent to a fixer in which the toner image is fixed on the sheet of paper. The sheet of paper carrying the toner image fixed thereon is sent to a paper receiver tray positioned above the fixer.

Multicolor image forming apparatus

The invention relates to a developer cartridge for exchanging developers in an apparatus which develops an electrostatic latent image, and an image forming apparatus using the developer cartridge. The developer cartridge has a first storage room for unused developer, a second storage room under the first room for storing used developer, openings in the first and second rooms and shutters provided therewith, together with a paddling mechanism in the first storage room for moving unused developer. The image forming apparatus has an endless latent carrier, a mechanism for forming an electrostatic latent image on the carrier and a mechanism for developing the latent image on the carrier. The developer cartridge is detachable positioned to the developing mechanism and a mechanism is provided for driving the shutters of the developer cartridge for exchanging used developer with unused developer.

Developer cartridge and image forming apparatus using the same

A developing device using a two-component developer including a vessel for holding the two-component developer, a magnetic roller provided within the vessel and rotatably supported by side walls of the vessel to entrain and bring the developer to a developing zone for a development of an electrostatic latent image, and a doctor blade provided within the vessel to uniformly regulate an amount of the developer entrained by the roller. The ends of the doctor blade are movably inserted into openings formed in the side walls of the vessel, respectively, and the blade is provided with a spring associated therewith such that each of the ends of the blade is resiliently abutted against an end edge which partially defines the opening formed in the corresponding side wall of the vessel, whereby the blade is positioned with respect to the roller to a given clearance therebetween for a uniform regulation of the amount of the developer entrained by the roller. The developing device also includes at least two screw members arranged parallel with each other to define passages for circulating the two-component developer and a partition member, having two end portions, provided between the two screw members, the partition member having a length shorter than that of the screw members, so that developer circulating passages are in communication with each other at the two end portions of the partition member. The developing device have an outlet port formed in the bottom of the device.

Developing device using two-component type developer having doctor blade

A developer cartridge designed to permit discrimination of whether the cartridge is used or unused, and an image forming apparatus using this cartridge. The developer cartridge includes a cylindrical body whose rotational axis extends in a direction perpendicular to a developer carrying direction of the developing unit; a first developer storage room, provided at the cylindrical body, for storing an unused developer; an opening formed in the first developer storage room; a case having a cylinder for rotatably retaining the cylindrical body, the cylinder having an injection port provided in association with the opening of the first developer storage room; a second developer storage room, provided at a lower portion of the cylinder of the case, for storing a used developer from the developing unit; and a setting device selectively movable to a first position indicating an unused share of the developer cartridge and a second position indicating a used state of the developer cartridge to detect if the developer cartridge is unused or used. The image forming apparatus includes an endless latent carrier; an apparatus for forming an electrostatic latent image on the endless latent carrier; developing means for developing the electrostatic latent image on the endless latent carrier; a developer cartridge detachably attached to the developing means for exchanging developers, and having the same components as the above-described cartridge; drive apparatus for driving the cylindrical body of the developer cartridge for developer exchange; a detecting unit for detecting the setting device of the developer cartridge to detect if the developer cartridge is unused or used; and a control circuit for controlling the drive apparatus in accordance with a detection result from the detecting unit.

Disclosed are a developer cartridge designed to ensure exchange of developers and toner supplement, and an image forming apparatus using this cartridge. This developer cartridge includes a cylindrical body whose rotational axis extends in a direction perpendicular to the developer carrying direction of the developing unit, a first developer storage room, provided at one portion of the cylindrical body, for storing an unused developer, a second developer storage room, provided at the other portion of the cylindrical body, for storing a supplemental toner, openings respectively formed in the first and second developer storage rooms of the cylindrical body, and a case with a cylinder shape for rotatably retaining the cylindrical body, the case having a pair of injection ports respectively provided in association with the opening of the first developer storage room and the opening of the second developer storage room. The image forming apparatus includes an endless latent carrier, structure for forming an electrostatic latent image on the endless latent carrier, developing mechanism for developing the electrostatic latent image on the endless latent carrier, a developer cartridge detachably attached to the developing mechanism for exchanging developers and for toner supplement, and having the same components as the above-described cartridge, and drive mechanism for driving the cylindrical body of the attached developer cartridge, for exchanging a used developer with an unused developer and for toner supplement.

The image forming apparatus comprising an endless latent carrier; means for forming an electrostatic latent image on the endless latent carrier; developing means for developing the electrostatic latent image on the endless latent carrier; a developer cartridge detachably attached to the developing means for exchanging developers, and having the same components as the above-described cartridge; drive means for driving the cylindrical body of the developer cartridge for developer exchange; detecting means for detecting the setting means of the developer cartridge to detect if the developer cartridge is unused or used; and a control circuit for controlling the drive means in accordance with a detection result from the detecting means.
