An information processing apparatus which makes it possible to accurately manage a plurality of storage media realized by cooperation with each other while maintaining a combination or combinations thereof, and manage data for each OS. A storage media supporting device removably supporting at least one storage medium is removably attached to the information processing apparatus. When the storage media supporting device is attached to the information processing apparatus, the storage media housed in the storage media supporting device is electrically connected to the information processing apparatus. The contents of data stored in the storage media are detected, and a visible identifier provided on the storage media supporting device is changed into a state corresponding to the detection result.

A metal structure () having a substantially U-letter shape is provided in a chassis. Tripod screw attaching portions () are provided to the upper and lower portions of the metal structure. A casing is arranged to cover the front surface of the front portion and the lower surface of the rear portion of the metal structure (). A metal chassis panel () is attached to cover at least the left and right surfaces of the metal structure. The casing portion of the front surface of the metal structure is substantially curved to enable tally lamp light to be recognized at the casing portion of the front surface.

A video camera includes a camera body, a holder arranged to house and hold a tape-shaped recording medium within the camera body, to have an eject part for ejecting the recording medium and to be movable between a first position in which the recording medium can be pulled out and a second position in which the recording medium can be inserted or ejected, a cover arranged to be lockable in a state of covering the eject part of the holder, an eject switch arranged to input an ejecting instruction, and a lock part arranged to hold the holder in the first position. The cover is in the state of covering the eject part of the holder before the ejecting instruction is input to the eject switch. After the ejecting instruction is input, the cover moves to uncover the eject part of the holder and, at the same time, the holder moves from the first position to the second position.

A reel mount device includes a pair of reel mounts on which to place a pair of reels, respectively, gears respectively provided at the pair of reel mounts, each of the gears having a plurality of teeth and externally receiving a driving force for rotating the corresponding reel mount, a first brake member having a shoe which is formed with plastic and is arranged to come into contact with tips of the plurality of teeth of the gear provided at one of the pair of reel mounts, and an urging member which urges the shoe of the first brake member in such a direction to come into pressure contact with the plurality of teeth.
