An object is to provide a diesel engine that eliminates discomfort when an operator of a working, machine coupled to the diesel engine is at work while a particulate filter is being regenerated. A diesel engine includes an exhaust emission purifier and selecting means capable of selecting any one control method from isochronous control and droop control. The exhaust emission purifier includes a particulate filter and a pressure regulation valve. The particulate filter is disposed along an exhaust stream to purify exhaust gas. The pressure regulation valve is configured to apply a load onto the diesel engine so as to raise a temperature of the particulate filter so that a particulate accumulable in the particulate filter is forcibly removed and that the particulate filter is regenerated. The selecting means is configured to select the isochronous control to control the diesel engine when the load is applied by the pressure regulation valve.

Diesel engine

An engine exhaust gas purifier includes a filter, a hydraulic load mechanism, a clog detector and a forced actuation valve. The filter purifies the exhaust gas of the engine. The hydraulic load mechanism is driven by the engine's power. The clog detector detects a clogging state of the filter. The forced actuation valve forcibly increases an actuation amount of the hydraulic load mechanism. The filter is regenerated by increasing an engine load while maintaining an engine rotating speed, by increasing the actuation amount of the hydraulic load mechanism with an actuation of the forced actuation valve on the basis of detection information of the clog detector.

Exhaust gas purifier

Provided is an exhaust purification device for an internal combustion engine, wherein the operation of an internal combustion engine can be prevented from being maintained when a particulate filter is melted. An exhaust purification device is comprised of a particulate filter; a downstream-side temperature sensor which detects a downstream-side exhaust temperature; a filter temperature sensor which detects a filter temperature; an exhaust differential pressure detection device which calculates an exhaust differential pressure between an upstream-side exhaust pressure and a downstream-side exhaust pressure at predetermined time intervals; a notification device; and an ECU which controls the internal combustion engine based on a differential pressure variation first and second exhaust differential pressures or the downstream-side exhaust temperature.

Exhaust purification device for internal combustion engine

In an embodiment of an exhaust gas purification apparatus, when an accumulation amount of particulate matter in a DPF () exceeds a predetermined amount and an exhaust gas temperature of an engine is lower than a restoration operable temperature, an intake air amount reducing operation is executed by an air intake throttling device () provided for an air intake pipe () of the engine, and a heating operation is executed by an electric heater () provided upstream from the DPF (), thereby increasing the exhaust gas temperature to the restoration operable temperature to start a restoration operation of the DPF ().

Exhaust gas purification apparatus, internal combustion engine comprising the same, and particulate filter restoring method

An exhaust gas recirculation control device in a diesel engine, capable of suppressing NOx and smoke discharged. A first temperature sensor () is provided at a portion more on the upstream side than a portion where a suction air path () joins an exhaust gas recirculation path (), and a second temperature sensor () is provided on the downstream side. Further, an engine load detection sensor () and an engine speed detection sensor () are arranged. The exhaust gas recirculation control device also has memory means where the temperature of suction air before it is mixed with an exhaust gas and a temperature value at a second temperature sensor installation position are previously memorized, the temperature value corresponding to an appropriate exhaust gas recirculation amount that is uniquely defined by an engine load and an engine speed. Further, judging means is provided. The judging means compares the corresponding temperature value memorized in the memory means and a value detected by the second temperature sensor. When the detected value is within a predetermined range relative to the temperature value, a circulation exhaust gas amount is determined to be appropriate, and when the detected value is not within a predetermined range relative to the temperature value, a circulation exhaust gas amount is determined to be abnormal.
