A backlight includes a light source in which blue LEDs are planarly arranged in a matrix with a first interval, and a color conversion sheet disposed covering the light source. First red quantum dots that receive blue light and emit red light, and first green quantum dots that receive blue light and emit green light are dispersed in the color conversion sheet. An RG quantum dot layer, in which second red quantum dots that receive blue light and emit red light and second green quantum dots that receive blue light and emit green light are dispersed, is disposed around each of the blue LEDs in planar view.

Backlight and display device

A backlight includes: a light source capable of emitting light spreading in first and second directions perpendicular to each other, from an optical axis; a first cylindrical lens that refracts and brings the light closer along the first direction to the optical axis, the first cylindrical lens overlapping with the light source in a third direction perpendicular to the first and second directions; a second cylindrical lens that refracts and brings the light even closer along the first direction to the optical axis, the second cylindrical lens overlapping with the light source and the first cylindrical lens in the third direction; and a reflector that reflects and brings the light closer along the second direction to the optical axis, the reflector being positioned between the first cylindrical lens and the second cylindrical lens in the third direction, the reflector avoiding overlap with the light source.

Backlight and liquid crystal display device

The purpose of the present invention is to realize a display device of high definition and high contrast by applying an accurate local dimming. The structure of the invention is as follows. A display device including: a display panel and a back light, in which the back light includes a light source and an optical sheet group, the light source includes a light source substrate and LEDs disposed on the light source substrate, the light source is divided into segments in a plan view, at least one of the LEDs is disposed in a segment, the light source substrate and the LEDs are covered by a transparent resin, and a groove like gap is formed in the transparent resin along a border between the segments.

Display device

The purpose is to realize a lighting device of thin, small light distribution angle and high intensity illumination. The invention is: a lighting device, which emits light in a direction perpendicular to a normal surface, including: light source units, disposed radially with a certain azimuth with respect to a center of the lighting device, each of the light source units, having an optical axis parallel to the major surface, and emitting light toward the center of the lighting device, each of the light source units including a funnel shaped reflector, which has an opening and a neck, and an LED light source disposed at the neck, mirrors disposed opposing to the openings of the light source units, in which the mirrors reflect light emitted from the light source units to the direction perpendicular to the major surface.

Lighting device

According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes a liquid crystal panel and an illumination unit which illuminates the liquid crystal panel. The illumination unit includes a light guide comprising a first side surface, a main surface opposing the liquid crystal panel and an opening made by a notch or a through hole, a first light source opposing to the first side surface, and a second light source provided closer to the opening than to the first light source.

Electronic device

According to one embodiment, an electronic equipment includes a liquid crystal panel, an illumination device, and a light receiving element. The illumination device includes a first light guide which includes a first opening, a first light source, a second light guide including a first area, a second area, a first main surface, a second main surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, and a continuous surface, a second light source opposed to each of the continuous surface and the second side surface, and a light reflective layer covering each of the continuous surface and the first side surface.

Electronic equipment

A liquid crystal display device includes: a light guide plate that includes upper, lower and side surfaces; a light emitting element disposed to face an edge surface that is a part of the side surfaces; a reflection sheet that is bent to face the lower surface of the light guide plate and parts of the side surfaces thereof except for the edge surface; and an adhesive material disposed on the reflection sheet in a planar shape of dots or stripes and attaches the reflection sheet to the light guide plate. The lower surface of the light guide plate includes concaves and convexes formed to cause light that advances in the light guide plate to be reflected inside and to advance toward the upper surface. The thickness of the adhesive material is smaller than a maximum value of a height difference of the concaves and convexes.

Liquid crystal display device

In order to avoid a phenomenon that a liquid crystal display panel peeling off from a mold caused by expansion of the air inside the mold when attaching a touch panel to the liquid crystal display panel in a decompressed atmosphere, there is provided a liquid crystal display device in which a liquid crystal display panel is attached to a mold accommodating a backlight by a light shielding tape and a touch panel is attached to the liquid crystal display panel, wherein the light shielding tape includes adhesives on the both sides of a black base, and the light shielding tape has a portion without the adhesive on one side of the tape for a predetermined length of the light shielding tape in a circumferential direction.
