There is provided a cable television/telephone tap, which can be set at a given position on a coaxial cable, and which is capable of practically and economically supplying a telephone service simultaneously with a cable television service, and also of quickly and economically accommodating expansions, replacements and modifications to the system. A cable television/telephone tap, using coaxial cables for splitting high-frequency signals and current for telephones and then supplying the same to subscribers includes a plurality of enclosures 1 and 2, having at least an upper side enclosure and a lower side enclosure; a branch terminal 9 for the high-frequency signals for the subscribers, which is provided on either the upper side enclosure or the lower side enclosure of a fully united enclosure wall; through-holes 7, which are provided on the same enclosure wall as the branch terminal; current-splitting wires which feed the current for telephones, the current-splitting wires being inserted through the through-holes; and a partition 43, which is provided around the through-holes in the enclosure wall, so as to assist the enclosure in surrounding the through-holes.

Cable television/telephone tap

Provided is a termination coaxial connector, having a wide frequency band, which is capable of handling digital signals. A coaxial F-type receptacle connector connects to a coaxial F-type plug connector. The receptacle connector principally comprises an outer conductor 1, a insulating sliding tube 2 which is accommodated inside the outer conductor so as to slide therein, a securing member 6 for securing the insulating sliding tube to the outer conductor, and a center conductor 5 which is supported in the center of the securing member 6 The insulating sliding tube further comprises a coiled spring 4 and a termination element 3, the insulating sliding tube being ordinarily forced outwards by the expansive force of the coiled spring, but being pushed between the center conductor and the termination element when a plug connector is inserted, whereby the electrical connection is broken, the termination is cancelled and both connectors are connected. When the plug connector is removed, the insulating sliding tube is once again forced out, causing the center conductor to contact the termination element and reinstate the termination.

Termination coaxial connector

A line radiation preventing element absorbs undesired radio waves superposed upon a wire or a coaxial cable by use of a magnetic substance, instead of reflection of the undesired radio waves and without increasing the cost thereof. The line radiation preventing element for preventing undesired radio waves superposed upon a wire led out of an electronic appliance from being radiated, has a conductive core wire (2) connected to the wire (5) led out of the electronic appliance; a conductive outer pipe (1) arranged concentrically with the conductive core wire (2), one end of the conductive outer pipe being shorted to the conductive core wire by use of at least one of a shorting plate (3) or an electric capacitance (14) and the other end of the conductive outer pipe being opened; and a magnetic substance (7) arranged between the conductive core wire and an inner wall of the conductive outer pipe.

A broad-band radio wave absorber including a radio wave reflecting surface, and a plurality of magnetic members provided on the reflecting surface and arranged in columns and rows, each of the magnetic members being composed of a first layer in the form of a square tile or a cross and a second layer superimposed on the first layer and having at least one cylindrical block having a diameter smaller than the width of the first layer. The first layers of adjacent two magnetic members are in contact with each other. When the second layer has a plurality of cylindrical blocks, they are coaxially superimposed in turn in a step wise manner.

Broad-band radio wave absorber

A novel leakage radiation preventing element effectively prevents radio waves from being radiated from an electronic appliance, without depending upon a capacitor or a choke coil. The leaked current I.sub.os and I.sub.or generated from a hole or a gap formed in a casing or a chassis is introduced into a wave guide path and then attenuated by radio wave absorption function of a magnetic substance disposed therein. A coaxial conductor (2) is passed through a hole (107) formed in a chassis (3). The wave guide path (104) is formed between the chassis and a conductive disk (101) electrically floated from the chassis. A radially outward end of the wave guide path (i.e., the outer circumferential end of the conductive disk) is shorted to the chassis at high frequency, and further the inside of the wave guide path is filled with a ferrite ring (102). Therefore, when being propagated along the wave guide path, the high frequency current leaked from the hole or gap of the chassis is absorbed by the ferrite ring, without being radiated to the outside.

Leakage radiation preventing element

A broad-band radio wave absorber is disclosed which includes a radio wave reflecting surface, and a plurality of magnetic members provided on the reflecting surface and arranged in columns and rows in the directions of X- and Y-axes, each of the magnetic members having a first section extending in parallel with the Y-axis and a second section in contact with the first section throughout the height thereof and extending in parallel with the X-axis, such that the first sections in each column and the second sections in each row are spaced apart from each other at a predetermined distance. Each of the first and second sections has a part having a length which is smaller than the distance at which each adjacent two sections are spaced apart, so that there is formed an aperture between each of the two adjacent sections.

A broad-band radio wave absorber with a plurality of pieces of a magnetic member disposed parallel to each other or in a crosswise way on a reflecting plate. Each of the pieces of the magnetic member is configured in such a manner that its thickness is arranged so as to become smaller from its bottom toward its top in a stepwise fashion and that so as to be longer than its bottom thickness. Further, each of the pieces of the magnetic member is disposed in a relationship spaced away from the adjacent pieces thereof in such a predetermined distance longer than the bottom thickness of each piece thereof.

The provision of of an electromagnetic wave absorbing apparatus having a broadband electromagnetic wave absorbing characteristic, and which can also be used for the improvement of existing electromagnetic wave absorbing apparatus. Successive layers of an sintered ferrite magnetic body (F), a dielectric body (D) having a low permittivity, and a magnetic body (RF) having a low magnetic permeability, are overlapped on a flat reflector plate, and the relationship between the magnetic permeability .mu.1 of the sintered ferrite magnetic body and the magnetic permeability of the magnetic body having a low magnetic permeability is .mu.1.gtoreq.25.multidot..mu.2.

Broadband wave absorption apparatus

The present invention relates to a broad-band wave absorber wherein beams (3) formed of a ferrite magnetic material are placed at an optimal spacing and are aligned in a lattice form in longitudinal and lateral directions on a conductive plate (2). A magnetic substance of a specific thickness t.sub.m is formed into cylindrical blocks of a height d (where d.gtoreq.t.sub.m) wherein an end surface thereof is polygonal, and the cylindrical blocks are provided with a radio-wave reflecting surface aligned in such a manner that this surface is perpendicular to the axial direction of the blocks, and the end surface of the blocks is approximately perpendicular to a direction from which radio waves are incident. The ferrite magnetic substance could also be formed into rectangular prisms of thickness 2t.sub.m, height d, and length in the longitudinal direction thereof L, with the prisms aligned at a spacing b on a radio-wave reflecting surface, the direction of the height dimension of the prisms being approximately parallel to a radiowave incidence direction, and the surfaces thereof of the dimensions 2t.sub.m and L being perpendicular to the radiowave incidence direction, forming a plane parallel to a magnetic field direction of incident radio waves and the dimension L, wherein the following relationships hold:

Electromagnetic wave absorber

A device for preventing electromagnetic wave leakage from gaps between the body of a microwave heating device and the door thereof. The device is configured using an electromagnetic absorber consisting of a mixture obtained by mixing ferrite powder and carbon powder with a soft binder such as rubber so that the device is easily attached on the opening portion of the heating apparatus body or the surface of the door.
