An electrical conductor support insulator for passing through and supporting a main circuit conductor within a hole of the conductor support insulator. When the main circuit conductor is an electrical insulating material, all portions except for the conductor connection portion are insulated, so that no bare live portion is present and space insulation distance is made short.

Electrical conductor support insulator

An operation mechanism of a circuit breaker which is highly reliable and inexpensive and in which an intermittent meshing of toothed wheels and resultant noise do not occur. The operation mechanism includes a gear wheel for driving a cam shaft to store mechanical energy into a breaking spring, a pinion meshed with the gear wheel and a clutch driving element provided on the same axis as the pinion and constituting a clutch with the pinion. An operational driving electric motor is provided to drive the clutch driving element. Coupling between the pinion and the clutch driving element is disconnected by means of a cam mechanism composed of an end cam provided on an end face of the gear wheel and the clutch driving element, in the vicinity of the stationary positions of the cam and the gear wheel in the force storing state of a closing spring.

Operation mechanism of circuit breaker

In a switch operating mechanism in which the elastic force of a spring energized is transmitted through a link mechanism to achieve a switch opening or closing operation, one end of a first torsion bar is fixedly secured to a rotatable member while the other end is fixedly secured to a stationary part of the mechanism, and one end of a second torsion bard is fixedly secured to the rotatable member in such a maner that the one end is diametrically opposite to the one end of the first torsion bar while the other end is rotatably supported by the stationary part and coupled to the link mechanism.

Switch operating mechanism

A dead tank circuit breaker comprises a grounded tank, bushings placed on the tank, an interrupting means housed in the tank and having both ends extended out through the respective bushings, and a capacitor arranged in the neighborhood of at least one of the bushings, wherein the capacitor has one terminal electrically and mechanically connected to the leading end of the bushing and the other termianl electrically and mechanically connected to the grounded tank.

A dead tank type gas circuit breaker has a deflection member (102a) in a supporting member (10) for a fixed contact is disclosed; and the deflection member (102a) deflects flow of the hot gas, to make a region of non-direct exposure to hot gas in which area an insulator (12) for fixing the supporting member (10) is provided.

A tank-type switchgear comprises a main contact disposed in a hollow tank and having movable and stationary contact elements, an auxiliary contact disposed in the tank and electrically connected parallel with the main contact and having movable and stationary contact elements, a main lever rotatably connected to the movable contact element of the main contact, an auxiliary lever rotatably connected at one end thereof to the movable contact element of the auxiliary contact, a connecting link for rotatably supporting the other end of the auxiliary lever, a device for rotatably supporting the main lever and the connecting link with respect to the tank, and a driving device for rotating the main lever. The auxiliary lever is rotatably connected to the main lever such that the auxiliary lever rotates in the direction opposite the rotational direction of the main lever.

Tank-type switchgear

A puffer type circuit interrupter in which fingershaped arcing contacts are provided with a large cooling effect by gas which is provided to blow out the arc at the time of an interruption operation. One of a pair of arcing contacts, which are connected to respective output terminals, is provided with a plurality of fingers designed to mate with the other of the arcing contacts. The fingers are attached to a puffer cylinder which has formed in it passageways for directing gas compressed within the cylinder onto the fingers. Inside the fingers is positioned a cylindrical gas guide which, together with a portion of the cylinder which may be a piston rod, directs the flow of air over the fingers in such a manner that the gas passes substantially completely over the fingers before reaching the arc. With this construction, the gas passing the fingers is not heated and hence the amount of metal vaporized from the fingers is quite small.
