A component mounting system includes a board transport line for transporting a board from an upstream to a downstream and a work station disposed in the board transport line and performing component mounting work. The board transport line transports a board introduced in the downstream of the work station to the work station, and transports the board from the work station to the downstream when mounting of a component on the board is completed in the work station.

Message transfer apparatus in electronic component mounting system

A component mounting apparatus includes transport mechanisms that transport boards, component supply sections, mounting heads, and a control unit that controls them based on mounting data. Each transport mechanism includes an upstream side operation area and a downstream side operation area. When the mounting data corresponds to an independent mounting mode in which each of the mounting heads is used to mount a component only onto a board on a corresponding mechanism, the control unit performs a control so that the upstream side operation area is used as a mounting area. When a connected position detecting unit detects that a connected position of a tape reaches a predetermined position in the tape passage, head-feeding of an electronic component provided in a head of the connected new tape is provided. A tray feeder includes tray supply mechanisms and arranged in parallel.
