The present invention comprise a flag illumination assembly that both (i) illuminates an associated flag from a vertical edge of the flag and (ii) swivels with the edge of the flag as the flag is tossed in the wind. The foregoing facilitates illumination of the flag regardless of the direction of the wind. Further, a simmering effect is often created as a result of natural undulations of the flag in wind relative to the beams of light being directed thereon from the illumination assembly.

Flag lighting apparatus

A method and apparatus to clear the accumulation of toner particles from a doctor element by periodically reversing a bias field between a doctor element and a developer member. The developer member may be biased to a first electrical potential while the doctor element may be biased to a second electrical potential. The second electrical potential may be higher than the first electrical potential. The doctor element and the developer member may be biased from a single voltage supply and a voltage dividing circuit. A bias reversing circuit may cause the second electrical potential to fall, at least temporarily, below that of the first electrical potential when power from the voltage supply is removed. The bias reversing circuit may also cause the first electrical potential to fall with a longer time constant than that of the second electrical potential when power from the voltage supply is removed.

Periodic doctor element field reversal in an electrophotographic device

A roll comprising polymeric foam having a density of at least about 6 pounds per cubic foot and a compression force deflection of at least about 2.5 pounds per square inch. The roll may be used in image forming devices, and may be specifically employed as a toner added roll in electrophotographic image forming devices for toner applications.

A dry, powder electrostatic toner having polyester resin as a binder, pigment as a colorant, charge control ingredients polyethylene wax as a release agent, and extra particulate elements to improve flow and to scrub the doctor blade, one extra particular element is hydrophilic rutile acicular titanium oxide with aluminum oxide surface treatment, two silicas are blended within the bulk of the toner, one of BET surface area of about 30 m /g and one of BET surface area of about 380 m /gn; and an organoboron complex negative exchange control agent is blended with a quaternary ammonium salt of an aluminosilicate compound negative charge control agent. Improved functioning as a toner is realized.

Toner formulations

Toner particulates include a release agent which comprises a functionalized enhancing agent and a wax. The toner particulates may be used to improve dry fuser release and to improve color clarity in overhead transparencies.

An extended wear developer sleeve coating formulation that provides optimum print quality for a toner cartridge that prints 30,000 pages. The coating formulation contains an unique coupling agent which acts to chemically bond the graphite material and the phenolic resin components of the formulation together, even at high graphite loads, to increase the cohesive strength of the coating and improve its wear resistance.
