The invention relates to an additive-manufacture feedstock, comprising a heterophasic copolymer having a melt flow rate of from 0.1 to 150 g/10 min (230° C./2.16 kg), measured according to ASTM D 1238, and a fiber blended in the heterophasic copolymer. The first-fiber-blended heterophasic copolymer, when in the form of a printed article, exhibits a minimized warpage. The invention also relates to methods of making the additive-manufacture feedstock and methods of 3D printing using the additive-manufacture feedstock in various forms.

Fiber-blended heterophasic copolymer for additive-manufacture feedstock

The invention relates to an additive-manufacture feedstock, comprising an ethylene-vinyl ester polymer having a melt flow rate of from 0.1 to 150 g/10 min (190° C./2.16 kg), measured according to ASTM D 1238, and a vinyl ester content of from about 1.0 wt % to about 30 wt %, wherein the ethylene-vinyl ester polymer exhibits a Shore A hardness of at least about 60. The pellets and filaments produced from the additive-manufacture feedstock have a high degree of printability in material-extrusion-based 3D printing technology, and can be used to produce 3D printing articles with a high consistency to the targeted 3D model and substantially no warpage. The invention also relates to methods of making the additive-manufacture feedstock and methods of 3D printing using the additive-manufacture feedstock in various forms.

Ethylene-vinyl ester polymers for additive-manufacture feedstock

The invention relates to a sinterable polymer composition, comprising: a random copolymer of propylene and an olefinic comonomer, containing about 2 to 10 wt % olefinic comonomer content, relative to 100 wt % of the random copolymer. The sinterable polymer composition may also contain at least one of a clarifier and a nucleator, and/or at least one additive selected from the group consisting of a primary antioxidant, a secondary antioxidant, an acid scavenger, a peroxide, an enhanced IR energy absorber, a long-term heat agent, and a polyolefin elastomer. The sinterable polymer composition has a melt flow rate from about 1 to 150 g/10 min (230° C./2.16 kg), measured according to ASTM D 1238; a crystallization temperature, Tc, from about 105 to 150° C.; and a xylene solubles content, XS, from about 3% to 40%.

A compounded polymer composition suitable for manufacturing of isotropic three-dimensional printed articles may include an impact copolymer, a low crystalline ethylene/α-olefin copolymer; a nucleating agent; and filler, where the impact copolymer may include a matrix phase comprising a propylene-based polymer or copolymer; and a dispersed phase in the matrix phase, the dispersed phase comprising an ethylene-based copolymer, the ethylene-based copolymer having a C3-C12 comonomer, wherein the dispersed phase has a different composition than the matrix phase.
