A product and process for laundering delicate or dry-clean only garments in a conventional home washing machine. The process represents a home version of the commercial wet-cleaning processes for cleaning of delicate garments. The product may comprise a liquid cleaning composition, a wash pretreatment composition, a wash pretreatment applicator, an apparatus for dispensing a rinse cycle conditioner and a flexible wrap container within which the garments are contained during washing.

Methods for laundering delicate garments in a washing machine

A product and process for laundering delicate or dry-clean only garments in a conventional home washing machine. The process represents a home version of the commercial wet-cleaning processes for cleaning of delicate garments. The product comprises a liquid combination washing/conditioning composition and optionally a wash pretreatment composition, a flexible wrap container within which the garments are contained during washing and a pretreatment applicator.

Fabrics containing rayon fibers may exhibit, after the fabric has been aqueous laundered at least one time, changes in dimension in length and in width of less than about 5% each, a durable press value of at least about 2.5, and a water absorbency time of less than about 100 seconds. Fabrics containing rayon fibers may also exhibit, after the fabric has been aqueous laundered at least one time, changes in dimension in length and in width of less than about 8% each, a durable press value of at least about 3.5, and a water absorbency time of less than about 100 second.

Shrink resistant rayon fabrics

Granular detergent compositions and in particular low density, phosphate containing detergent compositions comprise a specific bleaching system containing hydrophobic peracid bleach and hydrophilic peracid bleach and a peroxide source. These detergent compositions have specific low levels of available oxygen from hydrophobic aid hydrophilic peroxyacid bleach, specific ratios of available oxygen from the hydrophobic peracid bleach to the hydrophilic peracid bleach and specific ratios of available oxygen of the peroxide source to the available oxygen of the peracids. These specific mixed bleach systems are useful for sanitization or reduction of bacterial activity.

Bleaching compositions

Fabric softener particles comprising an inner core of fabric softening composition and an outer coating completely surrounding said core. The outer coating is substantially water-insoluble and protects the inner core from dissolving when present in a typical fabric laundering operation, but releases the softener composition to the fabrics when the fabrics are dried in a heated dryer. The particles contain water-insoluble particulate materials, e.g., silica particles, having a diameter of greater than about one micron to reduce the shiny appearance of visible softener spots which occasionally are present on fabrics treated with said fabric softener particles and to maintain a relatively constant viscosity.
