A system and a method for operating a lighting device may include a transmission device and an optional communication unit. The transmission device may be configured to wirelessly transmit a radio signal with identification data specific to the transmission device of the lighting device via at least two radio channels. The transmitted radio signal transmitted via a respective one of the at least two channels may include channel data with respect to the respective one of the radio channels. In a non-limiting embodiment, the transmission device is a beacon.

Lighting devices with lighting means, transmitting device for transmitting an electromagnetic data signal and energy buffer for current supply of the transmitting device are to be protected from exhaustive discharge. Thereto, an activation device is provided, by which the transmitting device can be activated from an energy-saving mode, in which the transmitting device is switched off, into an operating mode, in which the transmitting device is switched on for operationally transmitting the electromagnetic data signal.

Activation of a transmitting device of a lighting device

A system and a method may be used for operating and/or calibrating a transmitter device. The system and method may include wirelessly transmitting a radio signal with identification data specific to the transmitter device and reference data. The transmitter device may transmit the radio signal with signal properties at least partially dependent on the reference data. A communication device may receive the radio signal and ascertain a distance between the transmitter device and the communication device using reception-side signal properties and the reference data ascertained from the received radio signal. A distance sensor may detect a distance between the transmitter device and the communication device. An evaluation unit may ascertain the reference data depending on the reception-side signal properties of the radio signal and the detected distance and to provide the ascertained reference data in the transmitter device for calibrating the transmitting device.

The invention relates to a method for installing an executable computer program in an illumination system having a plurality of illumination devices which are controlled by means of a particular computer unit and have a lighting device and a transmitting device arranged in or directly on the lighting device, wherein the transmitting device wirelessly emits a signal having an item of identification information specific to the transmitting device, in which: data corresponding to the computer program to be installed are provided by a data source, the data are transmitted to the illumination devices and the computer program is automatically installed in the respective computer units of the illumination devices on the basis of the transmitted data, wherein a first of the illumination devices receives the data via a communication link, and in order to install the computer program in at least one second of the illumination devices, the first of the illumination devices transmits the data to the at least one second of the illumination devices.

Installing or changing an executable computer program in an illumination system

A lighting device and a lighting system, respectively, are to be able to be more comfortably monitored. Thereto, a lighting device with an illuminant, a transmitting device arranged in or at the illuminant for wirelessly transmitting a locating signal to a terminal external with respect to the lighting device is proposed. Moreover, the lighting device comprises a data processing device arranged in or at the illuminant for extracting illuminant data about the illuminant and for providing this data for the transmitting device. The transmitting device is formed to also transmit the illuminant data to the external terminal besides the locating signal.

Lighting device with communication of operating data

The individual configuration of beacons in lighting systems is to be simplified. Therefore, a lighting system with a lighting device and a beacon arranged in or at the lighting device is provided. The lighting system comprises a sensor device for acquiring an environmental parameter relating to an environment of the lighting system. Moreover, the beacon is formed to automatically configure itself based on the environmental parameter.

The invention relates to a method for operating a transmission device of a lighting device comprising an illumination device, wherein the transmission device is arranged in or immediately on the illumination device and wirelessly emits a radio signal with identification signals that are specific to the transmission device, wherein the radio signal is emitted according to exactly one predetermined radio standard, wherein the radio signal contains the specific identification data at least in two data formats that are different from each other.

Operating of a transmission device of a lighting device comprising an illumination device

Optical switch for adjustable deflection of a light beam from the direction of an input point in the direction of one of several output points. The optical switch includes a switching mirror sensitive to changes in environmental conditions, such as temperature fluctuations. Also included is a rotatable capturing mirror, two beam splitters, and two spatially-resolving detectors. Both mirrors can be rotated around respective axes. A front beam splitter for the partial coupling of the light beam at the front detector that is optically positioned between the capturing mirror and the switching mirror, while the back beam splitter for the partial decoupling of the light beam at the back detector is arranged optically between the switching mirror and each of the output positions. A control unit is adapted to control the drive of the switching mirror on the basis of a signal from the back detector.

There is provided a scanning mirror device with a microsystem scanning mirror which is mounted rotatably about at least one axis, and a detection module which has a light source which emits a light beam, and a position detector, wherein the detection module directs the light beam onto the scanning mirror from behind, with the result that the light beam is reflected, at the back of the scanning mirror, to the position detector which measures the position of the reflected light beam, from which the rotation angle of the scanning mirror about the at least one axis can be deduced.
