The present disclosure provides fuel additives including Mannich-based quaternary ammonium salt additives, fuel compositions including such additives, and Methods of improving performance of fuel injector using such additives.

Mannich-based quaternary ammonium salt fuel additives

The present disclosure relates to methods and fuel compositions for reducing or eliminating fuel injector deposits in high pressure gasoline engines. The fuel compositions include gasoline and a synergistic combination of a fuel injector clean-up mixture including a heterocyclic amine, diamine, or open chain derivative thereof and a hydrocarbyl substituted dicarboxylic anhydride derivative selected from a diamide, acid/amide, acid/ester, diacid, amide/ester, diester, and imide.

The present invention relates to the field of fuel additives for fuel compositions and more particularly to a composition that can be used as a friction modifier, and its preparation process. More particularly, the present invention concerns a composition comprising at least one fatty acid amide of diethanolamine (DEA) and at least one fatty acid ester and/or amide of DEA oligomer, and it preparation process.

Composition useful as friction modifier

A fuel additive concentrate for gasoline, a gasoline fuel containing an additive mixture, a method for reducing wear in an engine and in a fuel delivery system of a gasoline engine, and a method for improving injector performance. The additive concentrate includes an aromatic solvent and a mixture that contains (i) N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)alkylamide, (ii) 2-((2-(bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino)ethyl)amino)ethyl alkanoate and N-(2-(bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino)ethyl)-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)alkylamide, and (iii) fatty acid ester(s) and amide(s) derived from a self-condensation product of diethanolamine (DEA) containing at least 3 amino groups. A weight ratio of (i) to (ii) to (iii) in the concentrate ranges from about 8:2:0 to about 2:5:3. The fuel additive mixture is substantially devoid of glycerin and remains fluid at a temperature down to about &#x2212;20&#xb0; C.
