The present invention relates to an equipment box, in particular a splice box, the box including an orifice for inserting a cable ( ) in a through configuration or in a bight configuration, the orifice being associated with at least one closure portion ( ) for closing the orifice in leaktight manner and provided with entry tube means for receiving conventional leaktight fixing members for a cable. The closure portion ( ) is complementary in shape to the orifice and is provided with an overmolded gasket ( ) co-operating with a gasket-bearing surface on part of the box ( ).

Equipment box, in particular a splice box

A sealing gasket for cables, in particular optical or electrical telecommunications cables, for mounting in an inlet of a sealed box for protecting splices and containing a gas under pressure, is provided. The gasket is mounted in a tubular passage secured to the box and includes at least one tubular cylindrical portion of constant diameter having an inner sealing portion connected thereto to bear against the periphery of the cable and to be placed towards the inside of the box. The inner sealing portion is constituted by a tubular frustoconical portion connected to the end of the cylindrical portion and whose smaller diameter end presents an orifice of diameter smaller than the diameter of the cables to be mounted.

Sealing gasket for cables

A cable guide, in particular for an optical or electrical cable for telecommunications, includes a cylindrical portion for coming into abutment via one of its ends against a sealing gasket for mounting at the inlet to a sealed box for protecting splices and containing a gas under pressure in a tubular passage secured to the box, and being designed via its opposite end to be subjected to thrust from a nut screwed onto the tubular passage. This portion is extended away from the box by at least one radially deformable frustoconical tongue having a clamping portion at its end for clamping onto the periphery of the cable.

The organizer of the invention is of the type having superposable cassettes pivotally mounted in a support housing them, each cassette having a flexible carrier arm for conveying fibers to an inlet passage of the cassette while simultaneously securing the cassette to the support, the arm being suitable for being folded both down against and away from the cassette so as to enable the cassette to pivot relative to the support. Advantageously, a fiber fan-out assembly is mounted on the outside of the support and has outlets staged along a fixing axis for the pivot arms of the various cassettes of the support.

Optical fiber organizer

An equipment box, in particular a splice box, including a first portion having an opening which is closed off in sealed manner by a second portion in abutment against a gasket positioned at the edge of the opening, and also a slot in the zone in which the second portion abuts against the first portion, the slot providing access for a cable via a configuration enabling the cable to be inserted transversely. A neck carried by the first portion surrounds said slot except in the direction in which the slot opens out at the edge of the opening. A sealing member formed by a sleeve is provided with a laterally projecting element providing abutment continuity for the linear gasket at the slot. The sleeve as positioned around the cable in a neck is subjected to the action of a presser device which is mounted at the end of the neck so as to compress the sleeve and a gasket fitted around the cable in the sleeve.

Sealed equipment box having an access for a cable

A sealed tapping box provided with an access for a loop of a cable folded over to form a U-loop and penetrating into the box via an opening provided in a wall. The opening is elongate, is edged by a seat for receiving a gasket, and is surrounded at each of its ends by a respective external neck which is carried by the box and which is laterally split facing the opening. A gasket includes a strip for closing off the opening and two tubular stoppers projecting from the ends of the strip. Each of these stoppers plugs a respective neck, and is provided with a respective through duct to enable cable to pass through. A compression device fixes to the box and includes first auxiliary seal for pressing the strip against the gasket seat, and second auxiliary seal for pressing the stoppers into the necks and a onto the cable that passes through them.

Sealed box for tapping a cable

A sealed cable joint box has a body closed by a lid, cable apertures between the body and the lid, a first flexible and deformable seal for sealing the cables in each aperture and a second flexible and deformable seal between the body and the lid, this second seal being rendered discontinuous by the apertures and formed of independent segments between the apertures. Each segment of the second seal has each of its terminal portions embedded in the first seal in the aperture at this level and has a greater hardness than the first seal.

Sealed cable joint box

An optical fiber splice tray is in the form of two tray members that assemble together. The tray includes coiling arrangements, butt joint splice fixing arrangements and optical cable receiving arrangements. The coiling arrangements and butt joint splice fixing arrangements are carried by one of the two tray members. The optical cable receiving means are carried by the other tray member. This other tray member further includes branch connection splice fixing arrangements.

A device for holding at least one optical fiber cable includes one fastening support per cable. The device including a cylindrical thimble inside which a plurality of identical fastening supports can be mounted once the corresponding cables are held stationary on them, an end wedge fixed to each support inside said thimble and locked in an open front end of said thimble, and a sealed closure for closing the rear portion of the thimble in sealed manner around each cable. A splice box for splicing together optical-fiber cables includes a box body provided with side accesses for the cables, and fastening base-plates for fastening said cables, the base-plates being removably fixed to a support inside the body. Each access serves to receive a plurality of cables that are held stationary on their respective base-plates, and said base-plates are superposable inside the box body and facing a common access.

Splice box for splicing together opticl-fiber cables

The assembly of hinged flat modules includes a channel-section support on which the superposed modules are hinged by means of individual hinge coupling means. For each module, said hinge coupling means are constituted by a hinge element attached to and retained against a first edge of the module in question, and having a pair of hinge arms received on said channel-section support, and in that the assembly further includes locking elements, each of which is attached to and retained against the opposite edge of the respective module. Application: an assembly of optical cassettes.

The assembly of stacked and hinged modules includes holding and hinging means for holding and hinging the individual modules. Said means are constituted by an assembling and hinging strip mounted and retained directly on a first edge of each module, and having individual hinges for hinging the modules. Application: an assembly of cassettes for optical fibers.

A cassette for optical fibers includes a bottom surrounded by discontinuous rim segments between which access channels for the fibers are delimited. Each of the access channels is delimited over a substantially identical width on the bottom by two facing sidewalls. A block projects from the bottom of the cassette and has two side faces facing end portions of corresponding adjacent rim segments at respective corners, thereby forming similar double access channels at the corners. An element of the first type or second type sized to the double access channels is selectively positioned within the double access channels. The element of the first type is constituted by a flexible slab having spaced parallel slots receiving and retaining bare fibers. A channel element of the second type is constituted by a rigid, U-shaped channel section part having two flanges interconnected by a web, with each flange including a series of teeth. The teeth delimit slots receiving and retaining protected fibers.

Cassette for optical fibers

The cassette has a bottom on which holding means are provided for holding optical fiber connections thereon, and optionally on which a cylinder is provided for coiling the fibers. The bottom includes different sets of openings. Either two connection supports chosen from different supports, or else one of said different connection supports and said cylinder are removably mounted side-by-side in two of said sets of openings, the supports and the cylinder having respective sets of snap-fastening catches corresponding to respective sets of openings. The cassette is thus made adaptable to being used in different ways.
