A connector comprises a housing of insulating material and a plurality of signal and ground contacts regularly arranged in rows and columns within the housing. All contacts have first and second ends and an intermediate section. The first ends each include a connection section. The housing is provided with a front will having a grid of entrance openings leading to the connection sections. The housing is provided with an air chamber and all contacts extend along a part of their length through this air chamber.

Connector casing for coaxial cables

A connector assembly for printed circuit boards comprises a first connector having a first housing of insulating material and a plurality of male signal and ground contacts regularly arranged in rows and columns. The connector assembly further comprises a second connector having a second housing of insulating material and a plurality of female signal and ground contacts regularly arranged in rows and columns. In each row and each column of both connectors all contacts are arranged at an equal pitch in row and column direction, each row of contacts containing only signal or only ground contacts, respectively. The rows of ground contacts are staggered in row direction by half the pitch of the contacts. Four rows of signal contacts and four rows of ground contacts are provided. Both outer rows of contacts contain signal contacts and a further row of ground contacts is provided centrally between the two central rows of signal contacts. The ground contacts of said further row of ground contacts each lie in a column of signal contacts.

Connector assembly for printed circuit boards

A connector for printed circuit boards comprises a housing of insulating material and a plurality of signal and ground contacts regularly arranged in rows and columns. At least a plurality of said contacts are provided with press-fit terminations for connection to the printed circuit board. The housing is provided with shoulders, each of the shoulders cooperating with a rear section of a contact having a press-fit termination. Each shoulder engages a rear section at a location aligned with the corresponding press-fit termination.

Connector for printed circuit boards

A printed circuit board connector, in particular a press-fit connector, comprises an insulative body carrying a series of contacts which are parts of right-angled pins extended rearwardly by proximal branches substantially perpendicular to the board having a profile adapted to enable their insertion. An insulative body comprises slots for receiving the right-angled pins. Each slot has a bearing surface parallel to the board to which pressure may be applied when press-fitting the profiles. They also have a second bearing surface substantially perpendicular to the board for locating the proximal branches in the direction in which the connection members are inserted.

Printed circuit board connector

A connection assembly comprising at least two superposed connection elements, i.e., an upper and a lower element, respectively, each of which comprises a housing, a central insulating body and a plurality of curved contacts arranged in the central insulating body, as well as stacking brackets which hold the connection elements in a determinate nominal superposed position. The stacking brackets are constituted by plates comprising an upper part incorporating a first position-retention element forcibly inserted into the upper connection element so as to form an attachment, and a lower part comprising a second position-retention element forcibly inserted into the lower connection element so as to form an attachment.

The invention concerns a rectangular connector comprising a casing (2) housing a central insulator (1) incorporating electric contact elements (16). One bar element (41) is positioned at each longitudinal end of central insulator (1), and a lug (50) is positioned on one transverse inner face (22) of the casing (2). The bar elements comprise a central part (41), each of whose ends is extended by an elastic central part (42, 43) so as to improve flexibility of the arm (41).

A connector device is provided for receiving a smart card having a plurality of electric contact areas distributed along a forward edge. The device has a reception case having a card introduction passage with a stop limiting insertion of the card. Flexible contact blades are placed so as to bear on the areas and to exert on the card a force tending to move it away from the stop; a resilient bolt is carried by the case and cooperates with a cam formed on the end part of the card. The end part of the card, the cam means and the bolt have a construction such that full insertion of the card and return under the action of the blades cause locking of the card in a set contact position and that a second thrust exerted by the card frees the cam means from the bolt.
