The invention relates to a device for both mechanical and electrical lockout of a remote control unit for a modular circuit breaker. This device includes a retractable ring pivoting around a spindle and provided with a locking nose arranged to cooperate with a stop pin located on the circumference of a drum rotating around a spindle and bearing a manual control handle having two stable positions. The retractable ring bears in addition a rocker designed to actuate a switch fitted on the electrical supply circuit of the remote control unit. This device is advantageous in that it also enables padlocking or sealing of the retractable ring.

Device for mechanical and electrical lockout of a remote control unit

An operating mechanism of an electrical circuit breaker comprises a handle coupled to a transmission rod to form a toggle, a movable contact support device having a plate mounted with rotation on a pivot, and a mechanical link breakable by the action of a trip lever. The link is formed by a retaining catch of the trip lever cooperating with a latch pivotally mounted on a spindle of the plate. The rod is coupled directly to the latch, the assembly constituting a gearing-down stage enabling the tripping force to be reduced. The bimetal strip is connected to the trip lever by a rotating tie-rod with uni-directional transmission.

Operating mechanism of a miniature electrical circuit breaker

The device comprises a solid-state switch and a pair of mechanical contacts electrically connected in series. The solid-state switch is housed in a compartment towards the rear of the moulded case of the device, in thermal contact with an external metal plate. The solid-state switch housing is separated by an insulating partition from the remaining part of the moulded case, which contains the contacts, their operating mechanism, the arc chute and the trip unit. The power terminals and control terminals of the solid-state switch are located on the small side faces of the case on either side of the movement plane of the movable contact, which extends parallel to these small side faces.

Current breaking device with solid-state switch and built-in protective

A mechanism for a circuit breaker includes a support lever insulated from a contact arm and a trip lever supported by a plate fitted with limited swivelling on a pivot. A mechanical link arranged between a toggle-joint and the contact arm includes a latching stop fixed on the plate. The stop is formed by a notch cooperating with a step of the trip lever to push the end of a toggle rod back to a retracted unlatched positon, as soon as the trip lever is actuated to the tripped position. The support lever is equipped with a locking arm having a sloping part cooperating with a pawl of the handle to form a high-speed contact closing device.

Operating mechanism for a low voltage electrical circuit breaker

A ground fault circuit interruption device including a standard molding case circuit breaker and a molded case ground fault detector module mounted in side-by-side relationship. The ground fault detector module includes a push button test switch which is open in the uppermost and in the lowermost positions. Flexible conductors extend through openings provided in the wall of the ground fault detector module and are connected to the line terminals of the circuit breaker. A reset push button is positively latched in the reset position.
