System for the operation and management of a fleet of refrigerated autonomous containers for transporting perishable goods, comprising: containers provided with a passive tag comprising identification information and with an active tag comprising a temperature probe and a recorder connected to said probe and capable of recording the measured temperature values; a gun or means for injecting a refrigerant into the container, which means is provided with a device capable of reading the passive tag of the container, so as to be cognizant of the identification number of the passive tag; and a data acquisition and processing unit capable of carrying out the following operations: receiving said identification information from said device and linking this identification number of the passive tag with the number of the active tag in the container; calculating, as a function of data associated with the logistic travel of the container and physical data of a refrigerant, an amount of liquefied gas to be injected into the container; and providing said gun or injection means with the characteristics of the injection of liquefied gas to be injected into the container.

System for the operation and management of a fleet of refrigerated autonomous containers

The method of carburizing steel workpieces comprises loading workpieces to be carburized in a furnace and maintaining them in a carbon enriching atmosphere comprising carbon monoxide, hydrogen and nitrogen. The treatment comprises a first phase carried out at a temperature from 850.degree. C. to 1050.degree. C. followed by a second phase carried out at a temperature from 700.degree. C. to 950.degree. C. During the first phase an atmosphere is used having a carbon potential from about 1.1% to about 1.6% by weight and during the second phase the amount of nitrogen in the atmosphere is increased from two to thirty times so that the carbon potential for the second phase is at least about 0.5% by weight less than the carbon potential for the first phase.

Method of carburizing workpiece

The present invention relates to improvements in processes for treatment of steel under a controlled atmosphere. Use is made of an atmosphere formed by a carrier gas comprising or containing industrially pure nitrogen and by an active gas formed by a hydrocarbon such as: CH.sub.4, C.sub.4 H.sub.10, C.sub.3 H.sub.8, C.sub.2 H.sub.4, C.sub.2 H.sub.2, C.sub.2 H.sub.6, and by carbon monoxide fed in under the form of pure gas or obtained by decomposition of methanol, the treatment being performed between 750.degree. and 1150.degree. C. The invention is applicable to heating prior to hardening, to annealing, to carburization and to carbo-nitriding of steels.

Heat treatment of steel and method for monitoring the treatment

This invention relates to the generation of an atmosphere for the heat treatment of metals, incorporating an alcohol of the methanol type that decomposes by cracking. A generating plant comprises a nitrogen circuit connected to a pressure source, an alcohol circuit connected to a pressurized tank containing the alcohol in the liquid phase and an injector arranged to feed the alcohol and nitrogen into the furnace in the form of a mist of alcohol within a jet of nitrogen. The invention is applicable in particular to the hardening, heating prior to quenching, and annealing of steels.

Plant for generating an atmosphere for the heat treatment of metals

The invention relates to a plasma cutting plant comprising a principal generator feeding a plasma arc between a workpiece and an electrode of a torch comprising a tube, with initial ignition by means of an ignition or striking arc between the electrode and the tube, via the resistor and the contactor. A circuit comprising a resistor and an excitation coil of a relay is installed across the terminals of the contactor. When the torch has been brought to the correct distance from the workpiece, the circuit detects this correct spacing and acts on the feed motor to stop the latter immediately.
